You will have a really lovely week, once you get over the general grubbiness of the hotel
Overall I’d say the hotel is nice. It’s a large hotel with only two floors spread across a big area. The outside areas and gardens are kept beautifully.
There are 3 pools which are fine but a bit grubby. It’s a family discussion how English pools are so gross but foreign pools are kept nice…. Well, i’d compare this to an English pool! Getting a hair wrapped round your fingers every two seconds, the same plaster stuck to the floor all week, a massive clump of hair that just stayed wrapped around the steps for days. I didn’t see anybody cleaning the area down all holiday which you do normally see at a big hotel. The floor is quite dirty and where puddles form by the steps there is green algae between the grout and floating around. As everybody has mentioned, sun beds are a real issue. In fact, I’m not convinced it’s even the sun beds, it’s the shade!! I really feel like if they had more parasols or shaded bits then it wouldn’t be such a bun fight, but people want to sit under the umbrellas or shaded areas and that’s the issue. The umbrellas that are there are big, concreted in ones that don’t move or go up and down. The first day we arrived at the pool at around midday and got two beds at the ‘quiet’ pool, but they were in the blazing sun with zero shade and with a toddler that’s no good. The main pool and splash pool lock the beds up until 8.30 ish, at which time there is an actual fight for beds. The third pool, which we tended to favour, is gated and they don’t open until 10. Although a queue starts forming at around 9.30, it’s far less frantic. The pool itself gets very busy and overwhelming, but we did go in school holidays. It’s also a really warm pool, I’m not sure if it is heated or just the warm weather but it’s like a bath. This has its pros and cons, my toddler was in there for hours and hours without getting cold, but in reality it was a bit too warm and you never really cool down or get any relief from the sun.
What I actually felt overall was that this is a large hotel with lots of rooms, and the social areas are really quite small. Around the pool, the bar and the entertainment area, all lack space for a hotel this size. Yes it was probably full capacity when we were there but they should be able to cater for this if they offer the rooms. Bottom line is there should be more sun beds and more parasols, just because you go in school holidays shouldn’t mean you have to fight for a basic facility. They also need more space and tables in the entertainment area, if you arrive after the kids disco starts you’re unlikely to get seated. As a hotel, if you’re going to fill every room then you need to provide facilities for that many people.
The drink token system is fine once you get used to it. I cannot see how it’s greener and feel that it’s more to stop the need for staff having to clear down tables as you’re obliged to take your cups back. Unfortunately because they don’t do this, the tables in the bar area rarely get wiped down and that is probably the reason there are lots of flies around. The bar staff are quick and efficient and even if there is a queue you get your drinks quickly. Most of them are nice and friendly apart from the older guy who is a grump! AI drinks were fine, there’s a handful of cocktails included and good selection of soft drinks. One thing let it down, the only ice creams available through the day for AI were ice pops which were a bit naff.
Food is good, if somebody can’t find something they can eat then they must be super fussy. Freshly made pizzas every day, always a kids section with basic beige foods. Good selection of breads (although these were often a bit hard and stale). The main restaurant by the pool bar felt a lot like a school canteen, but could always get seated ok. The second restaurant downstairs from reception is much nicer for dinner time. It’s calmer, food is nicely presented and it’s just a bit more civilised. It is also freezing cold though, so take a cardy! The downstairs restaurant has a chocolate fountain most nights which the other one doesn’t have.
Rooms are basic but fine. Could do with a really good deep clean, you can see the dirt in the corners, the bathroom was grubby and there were quite a few stray hairs on arrival. Impossible to sit on the balcony with the huge air con vent pumping out boiling hot air at you which is a shame, so we didn’t really use our balcony. Also a strong smell of drains comes and goes in the rooms.
The beach isn’t far but it’s a steep old walk down some rickety wooden steps or a rocky slope. Not suitable for a pushchair at all and I didn’t trust my 3 year old to walk down them safely so we never ventured down which was a shame. My mum did and said it was stoney and seaweed-y! We heard people talking about nice beaches and coves not too far out but we never explored.
Entertainment team are great with the kids. We only really used the kids disco due to my daughter only being 3, but they work so hard to get them all dancing and involved. You see them about all day long doing this and that. There is a gap of an hour between the kids disco ending and the entertainment starting, where they give out a few certificates from the daytime and do bingo, but for young kids this is just boring and therefore we rarely made it to see the entertainment because toddler just got bored and tired.
Check out process was good. There is a big luggage room with showers, toilets, clean towels and an air conditioned area with sofas etc. it’s right at the back of the hotel but the transfer buses pick up from there which means you don’t have to lug your bags back through the complex. It works really well.
Overall this hotel was fine. Once you get over the general grubbiness you will have a lovely time. If you’re looking to book and you can get it for a good price then go for it. But in reality, would I come back, probably not…. Did we have a nice time, yes a really lovely week! I would maybe compare this to a Spanish Butlins…. Basic, hectic, everywhere needs a deep clean, but good fun for the kids and there’s always something to do

Honest review July 2026
The sunbed situation was as expected during holiday time, if you snoozed you deffo did lose! It said pools didn’t open until 10am but we were never able to get a sunbed at the main pool or the splash pool during our stay. The quieter pool did have gates around it that opened at 10am although some days this was hit n miss at what time it was open and one of days it had opened earlier than 10am and we didn’t get a bed. Can I just add also that we were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids and we would get 2 beds to share. On one occasion when we didn’t manage to get any beds we sat in chairs and it was annoying to see people had reserved beds and gone off to do all the kids activities that ran at the main stage throughout the morning and not return until mid afternoon! On one occasions I did move a towel myself to enable us to be shaded. The pool attendants and lifeguards do not worry or care about the sunbeds and so you need to take this into your own hands. I never ever understand the lack of parasols in hotels especially hotels with kids! There was literally 1 parasols to every 5 beds it was crazy. The amount of burnt people was insane.
The food was average as you’d expect, but there was a good variety of salad and fruit and veg and theme nights which was nice and always something to choose from.
The restaurant staff were all very helpful and nice and the manager Toni was very polite and helpful and accommodating big shout out to him.
The bar staff were generally all very nice and polite, the younger lads (Hugo, Aleks, Joseph and many other young folk were all fabulous)! I am sorry to have to add a slightly negative review but the older man Antonio was miserable and unapproachable THE whole week we were there. I am a 44 year old woman and it got to the point where I would get flustered with my order at the bar because I knew he would get annoyed with me for taking too long or getting it wrong. He was irritable and uninterested and I never once in my 7 days saw him smile. Maybe time he retires…. Or maybe he needs a refresher on customer service?! Who knows but was a talking point of our holiday and it really shouldn’t have been
The entertainment team was brilliant! Little resources but what troopers they are! A massive stand out for us was Ruben, he was so good at getting people involved and encouraging kids to take part.
What would have been useful would be a print out on arrival of activities and events during the week! Ad the only place to fish this out is the main stage.
The other thing that was a negative for me was the plastic cups! I get why plastics cups are a thing during the day around the pool but when I’m on holiday and I want to drink a glass of wine I won’t want to drink it from a plastic cup! I’m 44 I think I can manage a glass what’s hilarious is if you aren’t AI or if you buy a non AI drink that it comes in a glass?! ♀️ yet when I asked if I could take my glass from the restaurant to the entertainment area then I was told no and then practically rang after me just to check if was breaking the rules or not.
Also you get issued with tokens to exchange for drinks cups which is great and I understand the reasoning behind it but there does need to be some flex. It’s AI and if you have an AI band on surely that means you can have a drink??? On a number of occasions we forgot our tokens or didn’t have enough cups to exchange and again Antonio was not happy with us. Surely if you have an AI band it should really matter….
The rooms are excellently cleaned and we were in 397 and our maid was fabulous.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your stay at Globales Binimar.
We are pleased to know that, overall, you and your family enjoyed a pleasant holiday and that aspects such as our swimming pools, gastronomic offer, housekeeping, and the work of our Restaurant and Entertainment teams contributed positively to your experience. We especially appreciate your kind words about Toni, Rubén, Hugo, Aleks, Joseph, and the housekeeper who looked after your apartment. We will be delighted to pass on your compliments to them.
We are, however, sorry that some aspects of your stay did not fully meet your expectations.
Regarding the availability of sunbeds, we understand that demand is particularly high during the busiest periods of the season. For this reason, our sunbeds remain secured until the official opening time of the swimming pools, ensuring that all guests have the same opportunity to access them and preventing them from being reserved overnight. Nevertheless, the way in which some guests choose to use the sunbeds after that time is beyond the hotel's continuous control, although our staff continue to encourage their fair and responsible use. We also appreciate your comments regarding the shaded areas, as they represent a valuable suggestion that we will take into consideration for future improvement projects.
With regard to our reusable cup system, we would like to explain that it forms part of our strong commitment to sustainability and the reduction of single-use plastic waste. The token system ensures the proper circulation of reusable cups and helps guarantee their availability for all guests throughout the day. Likewise, for safety reasons, glassware cannot be taken outside the designated areas, particularly around the outdoor facilities and swimming pools. This measure is intended to protect all of our guests.
We sincerely regret that the service you received from one of our team members did not meet your expectations. Friendly, respectful and professional customer service is one of the core values of our resort. We will share your comments internally with the department manager so that the situation can be reviewed and we can continue improving the quality of the service we provide.
We also appreciate your suggestion regarding providing a printed entertainment programme upon arrival. All activities and schedules are currently available via the QR code provided at check-in, as well as on the information boards located throughout the resort. Nevertheless, we will certainly consider your proposal as a possible improvement to make this information even more accessible for our guests.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to share both the positive aspects of your stay and your constructive suggestions. Balanced feedback such as yours helps us to continue improving and enhancing the experience we offer to all our guests.
We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Globales Binimar in the future.
Kind regards,

Average hotel but avoid If single parent family
I’m currently staying here and have felt incredibly safe as a single mum travelling with two children (13&6)
The food is reasonable and probably slightly better than you would expect a 3* to be. The main areas and rooms are clean and tidy.
What I want to focus on in my review is how difficult this hotel make travelling as a single parent.
We arrived off a very early jet 2 flight and had been up since 2am (aware this was my choice but it was the only affordable way of getting a holiday) when we arrived the hotel arranged for a luggage room to be used by all guest checking in that day. When I say there was around 100 cases in the room I’m not exaggerating. Everyone crammed in like sardines and getting to the back to get the cases after more arrivals was an absolute nightmare. The reason for mentioning this is that I did not utilise my jet 2 bag allowance and wish I had packed a small wheelie carry on with our swim stuff in case to make this easier. More of a tip really.
The room was available for check in around 3pm. During the hours we were without a room we had no access to sun beds (this is another situation I will mention later) so had to leave my bag with all passports etc just abandoned by the pool.
Now the main point I want to get across is they have this absolutely archaic system whereby on check in they issue you with a token per person… that entitles you to get a drink each and then you have to return your cups each time you want a drink. They are unapologetically and relentless with this rule.
We went to the water park (which is great by the way!) so I put the cups in our beach bag and forgot to take them out with me to dinner. Whilst we were eating my son got a headache so asked if he could go to the room for a lay down.
I took my 6 year old to the entertainment area (where you have to be at a table at least an hour before the shows start just to get a table, our first night we were too late and didn’t get to see the entertainment) I went to the bar to get a drink and I was refused because I’d left the cups in the beach bag. The older barman was so rude to me saying no cup no drink. There is a very clear poster stating if you forget your token/ cup then not to worry because the bar staff would help as a one off. Not this guy, he actually took pleasure in exerting his authority. I explained that I was travelling alone and I’d simply left my cup in the room and he shrugged his shoulders and said not my problem.
I was so upset I just wanted to cry, plucking up the courage to travel alone with your children is a massive deal to some of us and tiny small things like this can really make or break a holiday.
Next the Sunbed situation, if travelling in a two parent family I can’t imagine this would be such a big issue but as a single parent to have to leave my children in the room sleeping to go out just to join the Sunbed wars is not great. I’m lucky. I have a teen but it’s important for those of you with younger kids to know that if you do not join in with sun bed wars you will not get a bed all day long.
There is a very dog eat dog feel about getting a sun bed. To the point people are sitting on chairs under parasols so that when the beds are unchained (yes they literally chain them up) people grab them and replace the chairs. It’s honestly ridiculous. I am someone who is used to travelling in luxurious resorts and the whole concept of this token drink system and the way they manage the Sunbed’s is just crazy to me.
I would have been tempted to return but after how I have been treated tonight I will never come here again and I will ensure I write this review on every single parent travelling forum I can find.
So unnecessary and unfortunately has spoilt all of our good opinions of this hotel.

First of all, we would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your stay at Globales Binimar.
We are pleased to know that you highlighted positive aspects such as the cleanliness of our facilities, the quality of our food offering and, above all, that you felt safe travelling alone with your children, as ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests is one of our highest priorities.
However, we are genuinely sorry that certain aspects of your experience affected your overall impression of your holiday.
Regarding our reusable cup system, we would like to clarify that it forms part of our commitment to sustainability and reducing plastic waste, an initiative that has been adopted by many establishments throughout the Balearic Islands. The system is explained to all guests upon arrival and is designed to be simple and fair for everyone. On the rare occasion that a guest forgets their cup or token, our staff always try to offer a solution whenever circumstances allow. We therefore regret that, on this occasion, you felt that one of our team members lacked empathy, as this does not reflect the standards of customer care we expect from our staff. We will review the situation internally in order to better understand the circumstances.
With regard to the availability of sunbeds, we appreciate your comments and understand that demand is particularly high during the busiest periods of the season. For this very reason, our sunbeds remain secured until the official opening time of the swimming pools, ensuring that all guests have the same opportunity to access them and preventing them from being reserved overnight. Nevertheless, we recognise that the behaviour of some guests can sometimes make access more difficult. Unfortunately, this is something that cannot be entirely controlled by the hotel, although we continue to encourage the responsible use of our facilities for the benefit of everyone.
Regarding access to the apartments, our check-in time is necessary to ensure that every accommodation has been thoroughly cleaned and properly prepared before welcoming new guests. In the meantime, we provide a luggage storage room to make the waiting period as comfortable as possible, particularly on days with a high number of arrivals.
We are sincerely sorry that a number of isolated circumstances overshadowed what, as you yourself acknowledge, included many positive aspects of our resort. We fully respect your opinion and appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue reviewing our procedures and improving the experience we offer all our guests.
We wish you and your family all the very best and thank you once again for taking the time to share your experience.
Yours sincerely,
Raimon Parera
