Fantastic holiday

Tomorrow I leave, it was a wonderful experience. Hotel in the best location, right by the sea, hearty breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, large room, is cleaned daily. It's the second year I've been here and it's never let me down. I recommend it to everyone

Changes are necessary!

Starting with the positive things:
Excellent location, polite staff, very kind and helpful, good cleanliness.
Critical issues:
ground floor rooms with a shower that is too small for people 1.80m tall, no soundproofing, air conditioning that blows onto the bed and cannot be adjusted except by turning it off, light filtering in everywhere! Defects that are not acceptable for the price of the hotel and that can compromise a proper rest while on vacation!

Rude And Disgusting Customer Service

I’m so glad we haven’t actually stayed at this hotel, because if the front of house rude and disgraceful customer service is anything to go by, we will have had a lucky escape.
Like a lot of people on holiday, if we’re passing a hotel we like the look of, we call in to take a look around. As an alternative place to book on our next visit to the resort. We go in to see what the restaurants, bars, communal and pools areas are like and if we get a chance to see what the rooms are like, and we always stay and have a coffee or something.
On entering what looked like the reception area, which appeared unmanned at the time, we started to look around. My wife who is of a certain age, said “before we do anything else I need the loo.” As I said the reception was unmanned, we could see the ladies toilets, so my wife began walking in that direction.
Just a that moment a heavily made up blonde haired woman appeared, and very abruptly and very rudely said “those toilets are for paying guests only!”
There was no “hello, can I help you?” just you’re not using our toilets.
Quite shocked at this persons rude attitude, I asked, “would you prefer my wife went in the street?”
To which she replied, “the toilets are for paying guests only”
So instead of investigating the hotels possible suitability for a future holiday, and hopefully sitting and having a coffee etc. we left in disgust and disbelief and thanked our lucky stars we’d never booked to stay there.
Future guests beware, based on our interactions with this hotel, I’d definitely give this hotel a wide berth.
Note to the hotel owners: If this person is the face or representative of your company she needs lessons in customer service or removed from such contacts.

Potential high, but...

I stayed at Hotel Voramar for a week during the second half of August.
The hotel does NOT have a private parking so, if you have a car, about 200-300 meters from the hotel there is a fairly large and free parking or in the neighboring streets there is easily parking (always free).
I state that the negative aspects that I will describe are the result of personal experience, I went over it without complaints because they did not affect the experience in general, but I really hope that they can be useful to improve.
Upon check-in we were given the room magnetic card, we paid the tourist tax (15 € each) and we were informed of the times of breakfast and dinner. Unfortunately no mention was made of the services present in the hotel... we had to ask for the wifi password!
We knew that there was a rooftop terrace (with small jacuzzi, sunbeds/umbrellas and a sunbed for Massage Service) because we had looked at some photos but nobody told us; during a "scouring" we discovered a small gym, a part dedicated to the Spa and a TV room.
The corridors leading to the rooms have carpeting that would require thorough cleaning.
Our room, quite large, was on the first floor and had interior views.
Pretty old-fashioned decor (but it wasn't a problem), courtesy water bottles, mattress (very comfortable!), working air conditioner (takes patience), fridge with freezer (very useful) and safe.
The balcony was large, but offered no privacy compared to both the neighbors of the opposite building and the guests of the rooms on the upper floors.
An old drying rack hung on the balcony wall; the ropes were worn out and the whole structure seemed to be about to collapse. Also on the balcony, there were 3 large pots with plants not at all cared for, a table and two chairs.
The bathroom of normal size, without bidet and with a nice big shower but... the shower siphon would need a cleaning from limestone, and the same goes for the sink tap, which also has chrome parts that come off, perhaps to be replaced.
Room cleaning theme: something is wrong... Every day I found hair (ours?! Who knows) or in the bed/on the pillow or in the shower or on the floor...
I think that "big cleaning" is done only at check-out but a look under the beds and at the sides of the bedside tables should be given every now and then...
Food theme (buffet): we are not there...
Breakfast all in all was ok with a wide choice of sweet and savoury (possibility of having crepes and eggs cooked at the time). Pay attention to the products used to clean the machine that dispenses water and juices because the water tasted like chlorine.
Dinner just didn't...
The quantities are certainly abundant but, unfortunately, the Quality of food leaves a lot to be desired not to mention that the buffet was mainly based on German and English tastes, little or nothing typical.
Very important positive factors: friendliness and kindness of the reception, lounge and bar staff, organization of evenings with music inside the hotel bar, excellent location in front of a beautiful and large beach and proximity to the center of Cala Millor with hundreds of services available (supermarkets, shops, pharmacies etc.).
In general I liked Cala Millor, unfortunately the Voramar ni... I am sorry because the potential is really high but some aspects need to be reviewed.

Bad Customer Service

We were booked into this hotel from 11th to 14th July 2024, and the experience was far from enjoyable. I booked through Expedia expecting that this would help if any problems arose.
Upon arrival, we checked in, paid in full, and went to our room. It was immediately evident that the air conditioning was not working, and I reported this to reception. The room was unbearably hot and could not be slept in. Reception did not get back to me with any solution, leaving me with no choice but to check out and book into another hotel where all amenities were functioning.I demanded a refund at the time and, to date, nothing has been received.
The hotel in general was far below standard. The carpets in the hallways and stairwells were in terrible condition, and the staff, as noted, were far from helpful. I was leaving the hotel after checking out and packing my car when I was finally offered alternative accommodation — far too little, far too late.
To make matters worse, I have emailed the hotel on several occasions and they have not had the common courtesy to even acknowledge my messages. I cannot understand why Expedia continues to allow a hotel that treats its customers in this way to advertise on your platform.
