Alright

Close to the center of Cadaques. Perfectly clean room, very good bedding
The staff is very nice and we were well received.

Bad experience and very expensive

They charged us 160 euros for a room that you couldn't even move into. They only give breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m. They don't even want a coffee before if you ask for it. No reception at night. Just enough breakfast. We spent an hour and a quarter to park near the hotel. Bad experience.

Basic place

When only a few days in Cadaqués the hotel can be quite OK. The rooms are clean and very small. There's almost no place to lay down your big suitcase on the floor and when you do you need to jump over it to reach the door. No air-conditioning as well, but in September the fan did most of his work.
In the morning you'll get a tiny but OK breakfast with some drinks and roasted bread with marmelade or a ham/cheese panini.
Location is good, just a 5min walk from the beach.

Simple, family run accommodation

Low key family run pension, with a friendly atmosphere, walking distance from the sea.
Managers are very nice and helpful. Breakfast and accommodation are basic. One point for improvement: the bathroom had no window and needed a fan. Room was very small.

OK Budget Hotel

We stayed here for two nights due to our apartment rental having been double-booked. We were naturally not happy with the situation, and we were not made any happier by the look of the hallway and room in La Fonda. Even though we had a bad first impression due to the look and decor of this hotel, it was not a bad place to stay after all. The rooms and the hotel are very clean, the bathroom is quite spacious and fairly modern, a breakfast is included which consists of Coffee/tea/hot chocolate, fresh orange juice, and croissant/toast/grilled cheese w ham (bikini), and the woman who runs it is very friendly and efficient. There is also a flat screen TV, a fan, windows that open, but no A/C. I should also add that the rooms are quite small in size. Overall, I can recommend this hotel if you want a decent budget hotel and don't care about the decor: it is clean and everything works. Oh yes, the owner also speaks some English, if needed, and there is no elevator to the floors with rooms.
