I don't go crazy.
I called days earlier to confirm that there was availability of a room with a double bed, as I was going on a trip with my partner, and I was supposed to be all ok.
Within an hour of arriving in burgesses, they don't call me, he texts me that "ups, the person who was going to leave the room has had an illness and no double bed is available".
Without having the option to look at anything else, because we already had everything planned, we went and when we arrived we wanted to talk to the man.
From the first moment he had high-handed and silly answers. We commented if for this inconvenience they could give us a discount rate but their response was to invite us to go elsewhere. In addition, enough had reduced us 3€ the stay by mistake of having filled in the wrong data.
He didn't want to explain anything about the room because of course, we were already going to see it... Anyway, the least pleasant thing you can find in a room you're going to spend and what you should be grateful for.
Not the next day he offered us a change of room, it must be that there is only one with a double bed because we are going..
The room was a fridge, no matter if you put the heating, you could not notice anything the hot radiator because the windows do not insulate.
Comfortable beds and equipped bathroom.
Cleanliness...decent...? There were other guests' hairs.
We don't repeat so, at least we leave our experience here.
See how the man responds to my comment, that will reflect everything.
Greetings, people.

The hotel fooled me: they said one thing and then they charged
I called the day before my reservation to advise that I would not be able to attend. They told me that if Booking sent them the cancellation request, it would be okay. Booking did, but the hostel did not respond. They marked me as “not presented” and charged me €57 anyway.
I called again on June 10th when I checked the charge, and they told me that they had received nothing (false) and that they marked the reservation as “not presented” so that they would not be charged commission. Booking contacted them directly again by phone and yet the accommodation has not wanted to provide solution, nor respond to my message.
They lied, took advantage of my good faith and acted unethically. All this is recorded by Booking.
I am Cristina, and I do not recommend this property under any circumstances.

Proof that really bad hotels can be found easily
So disappointed it’s not true, the salient facts are the Campus Tavern is not easy to find, and when you finally find it (which I hope for your sake you don’t) the Tavern restaurant is a shell and totally empty, there a sign on the door pointing you to entrance No:2 but you won’t find it! It’s actually on the first floor of a block of flats around the corner!
The rooms are clean and acceptable but not worth the £85 we were charged, when you hear the almost continuously scrapping noises along with what could sound like a lift you realise it’s the underground private secure garage doors allowing people in and out, you can’t leave your car there though, you have to leave it on the street in a dubious area. The door noises do stop around 9pm but helpfully start again at 6am so an alarm clock isn’t required. No heating in the morning so very cold.
No food, no breakfast available, so Please Please Please give this a Miss!

Overnight stay
Parking was 8€ per night but plenty of free parking around. I did not realise that there is limited underground parking and was initially told that there is no space available but the friendly and helpful guy on reception 'found' a place for us.
As with all places in Spain with the exception of the 'Little England' areas, there is limited English spoken, so be prepared to brush up on your Spanish/sign language.
There is a bar/restaurant underneath the hotel which we used for convenience. Staff friendly and accommodating… good prices (menu 12€). This is obviously not haute cuisine but fine for a one night stopover. Breakfast can be bought here too, (2€ for latte and croissant).
Due to bar beneath, expect some noise at throwing out time. Overall though, very good value for money.
Tip: Hotel is in apartment block so it has a communal entrance next to the underground garage ramp. There is a bell for the hotel. Entrance is on the first floor. If the bar is open a member of staff will show you where it is.
