Budget Hotel in the Heart of Barcelona!

When I booked this hotel for my husband and 2 children I really wasn't sure what to expect and was a little concerned about the potential state of the rooms but I was looking for something that wouldn't break the budget and was central so took a chance. I am so glad I did! OK, so there was no air conditioning in the rooms (a fan was provided) and the rooms needed updating and were on the smallish side but cleanliness was not an issue and the shared toilets were impeccably clean and looked like they had been recently updated! My husband and I loved sitting on the balcony at night when the kids were in bed, sipping a glass of wine purchased from the supermarket across the street whilst watching all the action on the Ramblas! Yes, the hotel is right on the Ramblas; steps away from from the underground, restaurants/shops, market and the tour bus! Also, the bus from Barcelona to Girona is a mere 10-15 minute walk through some nice parts of the city! Unbelievable value, unbeatable location and helpful staff on reception - we'll be back!

The rooms are basic with shared bathroom knew this when we booked this reflects the price. very cheap to stay in best part of city.staff were very friendly and helped us with anything we needed would stay here again. The money you save you will need for barcelona as can be very expensive

Good location, poor rooms

Location was excellent at the top of La Ramblas and the staff were also good. Unfortunately the room was so hot as there wasn't any air conditioning apart from a fan. Also the bathrooms were poorly decorated.

Possibly the best location

You live at La Rambla with 2 min to Plaça de Catalunya, the metro and airport buses. 5 min to the Market of La Boqueria and the Gothic Quarter. The hostel is located on the 4th and 5th floor, so there is a beautiful view from the small balconies with table and chairs. The rooms are a bit worn and the toilets and bathrooms are outdated but you get what you pay for and a little more.

Central, nice balcony, that's all

This Hostal is situated very close to the Placa Catalunya and has a nice balcony.
But, the toilets and the bathroom were awful! Not cleaned, old and disgusting. The beds were very easy and not confortable. The aisle smelled horrible old. The only things, which were good, was the place and the balcony..
