A beautiful stage at the foot of the Spanish Pyrenees
Excellent Hotel , well placed on the GR11.
Very welcome , nice breakfast but especially an excellent restaurant of local specialities ,
Well served by the owner & a friendly, pleasant & efficient employee.

Disappointing experience, do not recommend it
We were going to make a family getaway (5 adults and a little dog) and booked an apartment in Vall Ferrera (Areu) based on what was offered on the page: one room with a double bed, another with two single beds and a sofa bed, as it appeared in the photos. It also stated that “pets are allowed. Charges may apply”, without specifying at any time that such charges were fixed or mandatory.
Our surprise upon arrival was twofold: for one thing, the apartment did not match at all what was advertised. We were assigned an accommodation with two single beds, two bunk beds (one of them 1.50 m from the floor in a loft room) and a sofa bed. Nothing to do with the description or photos of the reservation.
On the other hand, they wanted to charge us €12 per night for the dog, something that was not clearly indicated. Added to this was €50 cash deposit, which if there are no damages is returned at the end of the stay.
In expressing our dissatisfaction, the explanation was that “all ads are the same” and that distribution depends on the order of arrival or reservation. Something so relevant should be clearly stated, or offer differentiated options when booking.
We requested a claim sheet for misleading advertising and for poor Service received, and the treatment of the person who attended us was chuleco and unprofessional. Seeing that other clients were in the same situation and had also left for the same reason, we tried to reach a solution by proposing that we be offered two apartments at the same price, but the answer was that that was “laughing at her and the rest of the team”.
Finally, after 7 hours of travel, at 5pm, we had to find other accommodation on our own. A totally disappointing experience that does not correspond at all with what is offered or with the minimum expected treatment.
I do not recommend it under any circumstances.

Very improvable price quality
Restaurant: Bad explanation of the menu, it says €22 (starter, main course and dessert), some dishes that are indicated on the menu with a menu supplement. At the end they charge everything on the menu and it costs more than €50 per person. Good food, but somewhat excessive price.

Mountain hotel with fantastic views
Mountain hotel very well located, simple but comfortable and above all, very clean.
The rooms are adequate, with everything you need, including a hairdryer.
The restaurant offers a wide range of local dishes and a fixed price menu with some optional supplements. The dishes are well prepared and the service is fast and professional, with fresh and local products.
The owner, Montse, is always attentive and ready, along with the staff, to make your stay pleasant.
They also have apartments next to the hotel.
The place is magnificent for small or large excursions, located in front of a park, soccer field and a public swimming pool with fantastic views.
In life you have to go to a place like this one day.

Cozy
Nice location, the restaurant is really cozy and the food is wonderful! Specially the breakfast which is perfect for a trekking day. Service was helpful and thoughtful. There is parking and a park in front of the Hotel perfect for kids.
