Fantastic holiday

I am leaving today and thought I would write this review I am with my 15yr old son. The hotel is amazing. Yes probably does need a little update but I haven't found anything to complain about. All so clean.
Rooms:- i cant fault we had a fantastic view. Very clean and plenty of space. Yes it can be noisy at night from the entertainment but you are either enjoying it or wear ear plugs.
Wardrobe plenty of space with hangers. A safe which I think is free though we didn't use. Beds so comfy I wanted to take mine home. I brought my own kettle
and mugs but you can higher a kettle.
Pool:- yes if you put pool towels down early and leave them they will take them and fold them and put on a chair. Which is fair. Still beds avaliable now and its 9.55am. You get free pool towels you can change everyday. The big pool the end by the shop is deep i cant touch the bottom. Steps going down. The other end is shallower. Another children's pool round the back. I never used this so cant comment. Pool I thought was warm enough definitely not cold. My son and I tended just to pop down to the pool for a swim then go to the rooftop. Which is for over 16yrs. Plenty of beds . 2 x plunge pools nice and refreshing with a bar. No snack bar. An area is closed off if you want to go nude.
Food :- I have no complaints about the food. Something for everyone. Yes can get abit the same if your all inclusive. But at least you have a nice choice. We had a picnic made up one day as we were out. Just ask at reception.
Drinks :- nice choice and good measures local drinks unless you want to pay. I never had to as I thought they all taste the same.
Entertainment:- good entertainment for the children you could go by the pool and they do mini disco then something else.
Or for a more chilled evening sit out the front where you have entertainment. The only thing is it can take awhile sometimes for someone to serve you. Waiters come and take your orders at the table. If you dont want to wait go upto the bar.
Hotel and staff :- i cannot fault. All staff are very friendly and willing to help. The hotel itself is spotless .
Area :- yes its on abit of a hill but close to the beach. Takes about 15mins to walk to puerto colon. The sea is nice and refreshing. Water showers to wash of the sand. If you have mobility issues you can always yet a single/twin scooter (everyone was using these) you can use electric scooters or get a taxi all very easy.
Trips :- we went on a few trips. We did the:-
Tuk tuk up to the mountains this takes about an hour and the views are amazing. Our guide was very nice.pickup outside the hotel
Whale and dolphin watching. From puerto colon this is a 3hr trip. We saw loads and a turtle. But dont do of you get sea sick.
Siam park is a must. We arrived at 8.30am. We got fast passes €38 each but so worth it. We managed to do everything. Got a taxi there but you can always get the free bus back.
Para sailing was fantastic from puerto colon this is my 3rd time doing it and anyage can go.
Crazy ufo I was the oldest and got bruises. Definitely one for people younger than me. But I did it.
This is my 3rd time to tenerife and loved everytime. You won't be disappointed.

right on the money if you want a good base for family holiday would recommend

Perfect location for going into.costa adeji family night life 5 minute walk down the hill if you want the beach, bars and restaurants on the front. Hotel not best looking from outside(concrete beige colour) but its got everything you need from getting pool towels provided for when your round the pool and then you just hand in at end of day and get new for next day. Food in the restaurant is different every night and you got a good selection as well as sweet selection for.the kids with ice cream etc.
Excursions there is somebody in the lobby and they are really helpful if wanting to go siam park or whale watching very helpful.
The animation team are also brillant with the kids and activities are on every other hour. Theres a football pitch and play area
, hotel will get you a taxi and theres a taxi rank over road and down hill. Theres a supermarket over the road and down the escalators if you come half board and theres loads of shops for your every need as well as excursion places. If you come and out of hotel and turn right go down hill you are 5 mins from all the beachfront where all bars and restaurants etc are. Drink on tap.is dorada which is not bad beer and theres selection of cocktails you get on all inclusive and burgers ,pizzas and chips around pool and slushes. Also if you go.over the road on thursdays and.sundays there is a market with all kinds of clothes and stuff been sold recommend going bit later on as does get busy first thing.
The hotel itself is a bit dated but its very clean and the rooms are big enough for families with fridge etc and tv Entertainment on night is ok as well.michael.jackson tributes, circus acts. There is 2 pools i used and third on roof but that is for adults only. Main pool and kids pool around the back where the football pitch is.
I would recommend this hotel as right on the money location wise and if you want a family holiday with everything you need without breaking bank brill hotel.

Great Holiday, worth a visit!

Last minute booking for myself, my partner and our two 17 year old daughters. Only stayed 5 days, all inclusive.
Great holiday, and really decent hotel. Starting with the staff, everyone we spoke to was very friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. Reception, bars, cleaners, restaurant, they were a great bunch and a credit to the hotel.
All inclusive we used for every meal, which is rare for us, we'd usually eat out at least a few times, but no need here. Plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It gets busy, but the team always found us a table, and the food was topped up as needed. Coffee was a bit crap from the machines, but you can get a much better one from the bar! My daughters used the snack bar most days, burgers, chicken nuggets, chips.
Bars during the day were quick. AI did not include 'everything' which is pretty normal, but even the handful of cocktails that were included were made properly. During the evening, the bar at the front of the hotel generally had a singer outside, background music really. The bar then provides table service, good choices, and the staff did seem to come back to your table as the glasses were emptying. We didn't generally stay late here, and instead visited the bars on the front, about 5 mins walk away, its good night out, down there with live music etc. We did not look at any of the entertainment program that was on show each evening by the pool.
Pools - the main pool has the same issue as so many places. Sun beds gone before breakfast. That was not an issue for us, as over 16's were allowed to use the rooftop solarium, which has a well stocked bar, 2 small pools. Plenty of space and sun-beds here. These pools could use a refurb, but done the job. We left the main pool for the families with younger kids, we've been there and done that, happy to have left them to it.
Rooms were well cleaned daily, of decent size, and comfortable. We felt they were a little dated, and perhaps in need of a little modernisation. But more than suitable.
The only downside is that the place, not just the rooms does feel a little like it needs some modernisation. That all said, it was good value for money, and we'd happily visit again. Costa Adeje, and this hotel provided a great holiday.

Not worth the money

Not worth the money , no balls or lilos allowed in the pool, food rubbish, some of the staff were rude, couldn’t do anything without getting told off. we visit Tenerife a lot and this is probably the worst hotel we have stayed at we have stayed in cheaper better hotels in Tenerife than here. Do not waste your money to come here terrible.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
Regarding your comments about the pool, please note that our safety regulations are designed to protect all our guests from unnecessary bumps or discomfort. During high-occupancy periods, our main priority in the pool areas is to prevent unwanted accidents, especially involving young children, and to ensure everyone's safety. For this reason, as clearly displayed on safety signs throughout the hotel, the use of lilos, large inflatables, and balls in the pool is strictly prohibited as a preventive measure.
For guests wishing to play ball games, we offer a free multi-sports court available throughout the day for your enjoyment.
We sincerely regret that our food selection and the service provided by some members of our team did not meet your expectations. Please rest assured that your comments have been shared with the relevant departments for review, as we continuously strive to maintain the high standards of service and personal care for which GF Hoteles is known.
We appreciate your input as it helps us identify areas where we can improve.

Brilliant stay at the Fanabe.

Today is our last day at the GF Fanabe hotel after a week, and we're here for the first time.
We have loved our stay. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily if you require.
The whole hotel is cleaned and maintained well.
Staff work incredibly hard, they are polite and friendly and have a great sense of humour.
Food is of a good standard, cooked well and fresh. It can be a bit samey but thats normal after eating at the same place for a week! Chefs make and cook the meats etc to order and the omelettes in the morning are delicious.
We only used the main pool its a decent size and great to have a deep end for our teen who loves swimming.
Just a heads up, you can access the sun loungers from early (I'm an early bird so was down by 7.45am but you can't just pop your towels down and leave. You need to stay with them, or they will be lifted. (Only one person needs to stay) Then after 10am you can leave them and they won't get lifted.
Works well and we never had an issue getting one. If you're heading out you will usually have no problem getting a sun lounger later.
Staff entertainment team are great and enthusiastic,
It's nice to have a couple of choices in an evening to sit and have a drink by the pool area or at the front of the hotel.
Its in a lovely area, plenty shops etc. 15 minute walk to marina.
First time and won't be the last, not one complaint from us. Lovely hotel and amazing staff.
