Clean, comfortable and convenient.

This was my second time staying in the Mozzi Hostel. It was clean and comfortable, the owner speaks excellent English and is very helpful and kind, I smashed my phone in Busan and he helped me find the Samsung service centre. There is also great privacy with curtains on the beds, large lockers to put your bags in and the bathroom is down the hall so you won't get woken up by a roommate showering, flushing the toilet or using the hairdryer. They also have good laundry facilities which you can use for a small fee. The other great thing about the Mozzie Hostel though is the location. Busan Station is about 50 meters away so you can go anywhere you want very easily either on the Metro, KTX or ITX line. If you are catching the train from Soul, it is so nice to only have a three-minute walk to get to the hostel after the journey. There is also a taxi rank to Busan Station so if you want to get somewhere by taxi they are easy to find. You can also tell a taxi driver to go to Busan Station which is easy for them to find so you won't get yelled at if you can't give them Mozzie Hostels address in Hangul/Korean. Also, for people like me who are vegetarian and/or vegan, there are great vegetarian and vegan-friendly restaurants within walking distance or a short bus or train ride (you can find them on the Happy Cow app) so you won't starve.

do not stay here. it’s filthy.

honestly a disgrace, do not stay here. it was abandoned on arrival and destroyed. a full seafood boil out, and it smelled and looked like it was there for days. when the owner eventually did show up (hours late for 24/7 reception…) we had to just cancel and find a a new stay. even the toilets were stained and looked as if they had never been cleaned. everything was unlocked, so we were able to get into rooms without a key which was also concerning. please save yourself the time and do not stay here.

MOZZI hostel

The friendly owner has managed to create a warm and clean space for travellers. The rooms, facilities, and sleeping areas are very well planned. Great location too. It wouldn't be uncommon to catch a glorious sunrise

Totally recommend

I stayed 2 nights in this hostel. I was kind of lucky I guess that there were only me and another female in the 4 bunk beds dorm. I totally recommend it, it is clean, good security, the room is cosy and private (the mattress is to die for). It is only a 2 minutes walk from Busan KTX and very near subway ride to Mapo, jagalchi and Soemyeon. They have 3 separate shower rooms which are nice and 2 man toilets and 2 female toilets. The smell from the toilet is the only thing that is negative about this place. The breakfast is basic, toast with jam and cereal. There is a water cooler so just fill up your water bottle. From the kitchen and dining you can see an open space view that looks nice at night time. Everything is provided, even indoor sandal. If you like dog, then Mozzi, the cocker spaniel is a bonus, once you introduced yourself to him, he is friendly. If I ever go back to Busan, I’d definitely will book here again.

Clean, safe, nice view, Busan Station

I booked this place as it’s a stone’s throw away from Busan Station (Metro & KTX) where I will be arriving and leaving for Seoul via KTX.
They have a cute and obedient house dog, didn’t bark, and only saw it when I checked in and out. I stayed 2 nights.
Owner speaks English.
Pros:
-Very near Busan Station (Metro & KTX) : 5 mins tops
-Metro station, taxi stand, Busan hop on hop off bus right outside of Busan Station
-Feels safe even when walking back at close to midnight.
-Line of tents selling food at night (one or two were still open at midnight)
-Hostel at level 5 with lift access
-Access code padlocks for rooms
-Locker space with key in room, can fit my 25inch luggage
-Clean and well kept rooms
-Aircon in room can be self adjusted
- 3 separate bathrooms with changing space, water pressure good
-Nice common area, with a nice view to just relax
-TV, printer, in common area
-Basic kitchen facilities (Fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster)
-Shoe rack at the entrance, slippers provided. No stray shoes or luggage lying around the premises
Cons:
-Towel provided not for body
-Main door & hallway door not locked (although they issue passcode for the main door and hallway door)
-No vanity area / powder space for female (though there is a mirror and space in room to do that)
-Charging outlets too high and my cables are short, I had to prop up a few things to act as a table
-2 hair dryers which are by the 3 sinks in the toilet, no separate counter top for that
-10% surcharge should you choose to make payment by credit card
