Great location ,great staff.

All in all my stay was a positive one.
Somethings were very good somethings were not as good.
The hotel is on a hill overlooking lake Bled. My room had a lake view which was great to see each morning.
The room looked as if it had recently been refurbished with the exception of the bathroom. House keeping standards were very good.
All the staff I dealt with were very friendly and professional. Special shout out to the guy behind the bar. There is a fantastic terrace with tables and umbrellas where we met each evening for pre dinner drinks.
There is a lovely swimming pool and spar which was being enjoyed by both adults and accompanied children.
Breakfast was also very good.
The restaurant offered buffet style meals in the evening which was ok without being great. There are lots of restaurants within a short walk if you prefer to go out.
My one big negative was that I was allocated a room with adjoining door to the next room. The sound insulation between these two rooms was non existent to the point of being embarrassing. I have stayed in several rooms with adjoins doors over the years but I have never experienced this insulation problem before.

My opinion; the hotel lacks real attention to guests

The location of the hotel is very pleasant. It is a pity that despite the rooms being renovated they look dated. In our case room 312; balcony where fencing was loose, bathroom small and dated, slight mold deposits, flashing lights, leakage from the upstairs neighbors, inoperative extraction. As for the bed we found the mattress (too) hard. There was a big TV but unfortunately you couldn't stream Netflix or Prime on it.
Furthermore, they tried to make the room look modern as shown in the photos. The experience otherwise is sober, carpeting dirty. This room is also situated opposite the ‘work cupboard’ of the employees who clean and start around 08.30 and you can hear that.
In the time we stayed there they admitted group (s) of youth. In this case, a team of hockey players around the age of 10. That resulted in children running around the hotel which was accompanied by a lot of noise. When I report this to the children themselves, it is taken into account for a while but then it is again refrained from. This took about three days and then also after 10 pm and before 8 am. I would like to stress that we, of all people, have no problems with children, but in this case with groups of children using the hotel as a big playground, we are going too far. We reported this to the desk and indicated that this really had to change has really improved.
Our impression of the hotel is dated for the price you pay for it. Breakfast is idd simple but ok. The decor is not contemporary, there is an attempt to leave a neat impression but you miss the real attention. And that includes us as guests of the hotel.
Too bad because it could have been a really nice place so close to the center.

Never again vacation at this hotel

Way too expensive for the service,
We were there with the bike, had to pay for parking, even though we only had one parking space at the entrance for the caretaker, breakfast for that money was impossible, we received a double room for a single room, of course at the full price, we were not allowed to use the sauna…! Must be paid extra. Those who have a lot of money...! can gladly go there, but they won't get much for it.

Ticks the boxes

It is a three star plus hotel located up the hill from the town centre
the modest sized double room I had was clean had usb points and the staff were nice
Spacewise, well lets say compact, there was nowhere to put your suitcases out of the way. Very little flat space in the shower room for toiletries. No drawers to put clothes away. Pretty basic room really
You have to log in to the wifi every day, annoying.
Tap water should be ok but there is a bar and a supermarket 5 mins away.
The food is a basic buffet nothing special but ok. When busy its way overcrowded and some lines of food have run out. breakfast is basic but again ok. Perhaps Best to eat out a few nights. you rarely see a manager. Basic wine is around 35€ a bottle (7-8 in a supermarket).
The aircon isnt great, several guests we spoke to had problems. It has a smart room key so you come back and the room can be hot- so it takes a good while to bring the room temp down to tolerable. Best keep the curtains drawn if you go out on warm days.
The pool is poorly designed and is more of a kids play pool, the pix make it look big but half of it is just 40cm deep. Oh it has one lift.
Someone designed a big showy reception area then squeezed up on the room sizes like a dorm.
This hotel ticks the boxes and can afford you a reasonable if not memorable base to explore the area

Not a 4 star experience. Budget hotel. But great location.

The good points are the location which is great. Close to the lake, shops, restaurants etc. The terrace which serves drinks, light meals, etc has lovely spot to sit outside for the views. Pool also good. Price wise it is reasonable.
The mediocre points. The breakfast is OK but nothing special. The rooms are also basic but OK with hot water etc working so I can't complain. But definitely not what I call 4 star.
The bad points. The heating. Crazy hot in May. 25 or even 28 degrees heating. Had to have balcony door always open. Must be expensive so I don't know why they do it. The cleaning not good. Dirty cups never cleaned. The room allocation we had a room with view of car park. Double when we booked a twin. We complain and they say no twins available so bad luck. Lastly the evening meals we had included were poor and not good if you have any dietary requirements. No water provided for tables and only 2 staff trying to serve all the tables so you wait 30 minutes just to get a drink of anything at all.
Most staff doing their best but overall don't expect 4 star experience.

Very good location
