Paradise is here ☝️

A superb hotel the place is magnificent, the staff is top-notch, the rooms are modern and clean, beach nearby with sunbeds and a beach restaurant where you can eat very well
I will return there, that is a certainty.❤️‍
This hotel deserves an additional star.
Thank you to Ms. Oger Delphine for her warm welcome and her involvement in our stay at the hotel.
A big congratulations also to all the staff ☝️

ROYAM HOTEL a Dream where EVERYTHING made our stay PERFECT!

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in the wonderful SENEGAL and one of the hotels we stayed in was the ROYAM in Saly, strongly chosen by me as I felt positive vibes, I confess that we would have liked to stay all the time here, but unfortunately it is always full and now that we have stayed we understand why!
The ROYAM Hotel is a true PARADISE in the sense that everything works perfectly and I list many pros and very few cons:
-Perfect location regarding both the airport, 45 minutes-one hour maximum, both for the beach location and the proximity to the center remaining secluded.
_ magnificent and well-kept private beach of fine golden sand , large , without the chase to sun loungers and umbrella with a restaurant bar on the beach that makes excellent dishes of fresh fish at an honest price, excellent homemade ice cream , Happy hour. transparent sea kissed by gentle waves .
-Superior room, beautiful upstairs with terrace, circular shape, Afro furniture, large bathroom with shower, plenty of towels, shower gel soap, water kettle, tea selection, coffee, 2 bottles of water a day, good cleaning, bed comfortable enough, NO mosquito net to the bed, but windows surrounded by mosquito nets, useless because in the dry season we did not find even a mosquito. Safe, mini bar, good wi-fi.
-Main restaurant, with buffet theme nights, magnificent especially the Tuesday evening fish buffet, raw fish, shellfish, paella, grilled and grilled fish, an infinite number of appetizers and desserts, we ate everything and we were always fine. Other nights dinner was à la carte with 3 choices either meat or fish and dessert.
-Breakfast, fantastic quality buffet! Egg station, crape, waffel, fruit, yogurt, baked goods, homemade jams, Nutella , French cheeses, cold cuts, selection of teas and selection of hot drinks, all enjoyed around the pool with the sun or dim light in the cool, a wonder was a joy to get up for breakfast!
-Theme nights every night , African and non-African music groups , fashion show , dancing evenings , traditional Senegalese dances , surprises , one night even offered the suzette crape around the bar .
-I didn't do any activities, but every day there was a program of activities to do in the pool written on the blackboard, we with the Hotel did the Safari to the Bandia reserve, exclusive for 2 , we paid more than if we had done it with other guides, but we were satisfied with the day Safari in Bandia + Ranch Lion . and I recommend it to everyone!
-Boutique very stocked with clothes and objects and basic necessities, SPA, very large and clean pool.
-Cleanliness in the manic common areas, dream location, Bungalow, restaurant and bar tastefully decorated in Afrochic style, extraordinary gardens, well-kept, with wonderful plants, full of flowers, bougainvillea everywhere all manicured.
-Personal: from the first moment we arrived they welcomed us with a smile! at check in they are very kind and professional, the waiters from first to last are professional and smart, the room manager has satisfied us in all our requests, unfortunately I do not remember the names but we want to thank all the staff because you can see that they love what they do and make you feel special, here the TARANGA felt !!!!
Against:
-I found the chefs and girls who served behind the buffet not very empathetic, no one or almost knew English and did not serve with desire was complicated to make themselves understood.
-The Buffet is served and enclosed by windows (except for a few courses), I would have preferred a self-service buffet to feel free to take what I liked. Not eating meat or cured meats sometimes I would ask them to tell me that there was no meat but then I would find the ham or meat.
These are small things that I'm sure can only improve this already fantastic Hotel.
Now, but not least, we would like to thank and congratulate them for their great work with Mr. Gerard Fossali Directeur General and the lady by his side, who welcomed us into their Paradise from day one with a smile and professionalism, who gave us advice and who allowed us to keep the room until the evening on the last day having the late evening flight, allowing us to still enjoy sun and relaxation without stress. Thank you so much and goodbye because the ROYAM stole our heart and we will be back!

Excellent stay at the Royam Hotel

We had a magnificent week at the Royam Hotel. The establishment is ideally located, in a calm and green setting, perfect for resting. The staff is attentive, smiling, and always available.
The dining deserves special mention: the meals are varied, refined, and of a quality worthy of a great restaurant. Each meal was a true pleasure.
We also greatly appreciated the massages offered by the hotel, a very pleasant moment of relaxation. The organized excursions allow for discovering the region in excellent conditions.
In summary, a relaxing, refreshing, and perfectly successful stay. We recommend the Royam Hotel without hesitation to anyone wishing to discover Senegal in a warm and authentic setting. We leave with very beautiful memories. ☀️

Very well-kept and quiet resort.

Hotel located about 1 hour from Dakar airport. Availability of taxis at the airport and also outside the resort for all types of transportation. The resort consists of over 100 rooms in modern tukuls. Spacious outdoor areas, large garden, many tropical plants, all very well-kept and clean. Private sandy beach, with well-spaced sun loungers and umbrellas, sufficient in number to always find a spot. Beach towels are provided by the hotel. Unfortunately, you are immediately approached by local vendors as soon as you try to take a walk along the beach. The sea is quite cold in May, with no rocks or coral reefs, not suitable for snorkeling. In the village outside the hotel, there is very little; during the day it is possible to take a walk without particular risks.
We chose a deluxe room with a partial sea view, a small terrace with a sunbed, two chairs, and a table, well protected from ocean winds. The room is semicircular, with light-colored tiled flooring, and is not very bright. A double bed with a firm mattress, mosquito nets on the windows in both the room and the bathroom, a small TV screen with all channels in French (except BBC in English), an effective and quiet air conditioner, spacious wardrobes, a small desk, a kettle for tea and coffee, a coffee machine with pods, various power outlets with EU plugs, and well-darkening curtains. A Coca-Cola, a Fanta, and a beer are offered once, along with a half-liter bottle of water per person every day. A spacious bathroom, a WC area separated by a sliding door, a bidet shower at the WC, a bathrobe, bath products and moisturizer in small bottles, a beautiful magnifying mirror (with a magnifying capacity never found in any hotel!), and an efficient shower.
Breakfast is served outdoors by the pool, with a wide selection of savory and sweet options, a chef dedicated to preparing eggs, and another dedicated to crepes, pancakes, and waffles. Fresh and dried fruit. Machines for hot beverages. At dinner, always in the restaurant by the pool, there is a large buffet of local dishes, vegetables, and desserts. Drinks are not included in the half board, but it is not mandatory to consume beverages. A small gym but equipped with essential tools and machines, open 24 hours a day. Bocce court and ping-pong. Souvenir shop. We found the courtesy room very useful for those leaving after check-out time, with a shower, bathroom accessories, towels, and ample space to change. Many outdoor activities are offered, such as aqua gym, aerobics, kickboxing, circuit training, Pilates, muscle awakening, cooking workshops, and gardening workshops. The masseuses are skilled, with affordable prices. The staff is polite, though not always friendly, and primarily speaks French. In conclusion, the cost of the resort is high, but the village is comfortable and well-maintained.
We took excursions with a guide we met locally: Aron, who, in addition to speaking English, was attentive, professional, and kind. For those who wish to contact him, his number is +221 77 511 49 45.
