Excellent

The owners are very helpful and knowledgeable, Florin is doing tours in Maramures very professionally. The place is nicely decorated and the food is delicious.

An excellent base for a trip to Maramures!

We spent three wonderful days here. Our meals were all varied and absolutely delicious! We spent two days touring Maramures with Florin, who owns Casa Muntean. He is an excellent guide. We highly recommend using Casa Muntean as your base for exploring Maramures.

A great stay like at home

The place is so quiet and warm. The dinner has been prepared by the hostess of pension and it was so delicious. Florin is always available for informations you need. And the city is well placed for Maramures tour. Pension recommended.

A very comfortable stay and great tour of Maramures!

I stayed at Florin's guesthouse for a couple of nights. He picked me up from Suceava and he took me on a tour of Maramures. The tour was great and provided a small glimpse of the local village life. The highlights of the tour were the wooden churches and the amazing paintings inside.
Casa Muntean was very comfortable. The food provided was delicious.
Florin was a great, knowledgeable guide. He's also a so-so ping pong player. He can hold his own, but I think he might cheat (I can't say for sure :-p). He's a good guy though :-)

Good food, good place!

The hostess made us feel very much at home. We loved our room. It has such a warmth and coziness. The building is a very pretty wood guesthouse with a lovely traditional carved wooden entry gate. Our hostess answered our questions about the area and was very helpful in every way. You will have the option to take evening meals there. Do it! The hostess is a wonderful cook and our meals were tasty and traditional Romanian.
