Everything previously said is true - Cold arrogant reception staff, not worth the money for sure

Everything that was said previously is true. You really do feel unwelcome — treated like a cash cow from the parking area all the way to the reception.
Nobody cares if you are travelling with a child who needs a room to sleep at 2 PM (as agreed with the reservation staff before we left Bucharest). On top of that, you get a young receptionist acting as he is the owner, shaming you and raising his voice at you because you don't have the patience to wait half an hour while he fixes his "technical system issues or glitches" — and you're left waiting like a fool for him to come back, with not a word said about why he was leaving.
I have given 2 stars for the bracelet which is great, the kids' animators and the room, which is indeed fine.

Not worth the money

We booked an apartment with a jacuzzi for our family of four, but unfortunately the experience fell well short of expectations.
The rooms themselves were spacious, but they were fully carpeted and the carpets were visibly dirty. The terrace was also a concern, with numerous dangerously broken slates that did not feel safe, particularly for children.
The jacuzzi was dirty when we arrived and we had to clean it ourselves before using it. We also found that the cleaning service was inconsistent, and on our experience the cleaning ladies only seemed to do a thorough job when given additional money.
Food was another major disappointment. Much of the food was served cold, which was particularly worrying from a hygiene and food-safety perspective. By the fourth day, I was suffering from indigestion.
There were also several issues with the facilities and entertainment. The pool slides closed at random times without any clear notice or explanation. The evening entertainment was extremely loud and continued until after 10:30 pm, making it difficult for our family to sleep.
The sofa bed was also extremely noisy, and our children struggled to sleep comfortably on it.
The air conditioning was not working in either room, which made the stay even more uncomfortable.
One of the curtains also broke, and when the maintenance worker came to repair it, he actually asked me to help him put it back up, which I found very unprofessional.
The minibar in the room was not complimentary and had to pay for everytjing despite having an all.inclusive booking.
Overall, although the apartment was spacious, there were simply too many issues with cleanliness, maintenance, food, noise and service.
For a family holiday at this price, we expected a much higher standard and unfortunately would not recommend this property based on our experience.

An absolutely disgraceful experience!

We came to this hotel fully intending to book a room, but what followed was one of the worst customer service experiences we have ever had. We politely asked the security guards for directions to the reception, clearly explaining that we were looking for the front desk in order to make a reservation. Instead of helping us, they spoke to us in a rude and aggressive manner, as if we were trespassing or causing trouble.
We were not even allowed to enter the hotel premises on our own and had to be escorted by a security guard to the reception, which was both humiliating and completely unacceptable for potential guests. Unfortunately, the reception staff were no better. Their attitude was cold, arrogant, and openly dismissive, making us feel unwelcome from the very first moment.
To make matters worse, we also felt that our privacy was completely invaded. The staff and security personnel behaved in an unnecessarily intrusive way, watching us constantly and making us feel uncomfortable and intimidated throughout the entire interaction.
Rather than being treated as future guests, we were treated as if we were worthless and an inconvenience that needed to be removed as quickly as possible. The same shocking behavior continued on the beach, where we simply wanted to take a short walk, yet we were once again scolded and chased away in an extremely disrespectful manner.
Looking back, I am genuinely relieved that we did not book a room there. If this is how they treat people before they even become guests, I cannot imagine how poorly they treat actual customers. The entire staff seemed to lack even the most basic understanding of hospitality, courtesy, or respect. This hotel does not deserve its guests, and I would strongly advise anyone to stay as far away from it as possible.

Never again!

I do not recommend this place.
The staff are very condescending. Instead of offering solutions when problems arise, they look down on you and even laugh in your face.
It's obvious that the management has no idea how to run a business. They seem focused on squeezing every last penny out of their guests, even if you've paid for an all-inclusive stay, rather than providing a relaxing experience.
Because of this, it's no surprise they have vacant rooms at any time of the year. The management is driven by profit, not by quality or guest satisfaction.
It's a real shame because the location is beautiful, but they completely ruin the experience.
Never again!

Why I strongly advise against staying here

I recently stayed at Mera Onix Hotel in Cap Aurora while attending an event, and my overall experience was mixed.
The hotel’s beachfront location is undoubtedly its biggest advantage, offering direct access to the sea and pleasant views. Many of the rooms also feature sea views, which is a definite plus. The hotel also benefits from having a large parking area, which is convenient for guests traveling by car. However, the surrounding area is less appealing — there are nearby buildings under construction, and the resort itself lacks recreational or entertainment options, making it feel rather quiet and underdeveloped.
The rooms are quite small, approximately 14 square meters, which may feel cramped, especially for longer stays. On a positive note, the staff — largely composed of employees from Nepal — were consistently polite, attentive, and eager to assist, contributing positively to the overall atmosphere.
The hotel features an infinity pool, which looks appealing, but unfortunately it was not heated during my stay, despite being advertised as such. Given that the outdoor temperatures ranged between 17°C and 24°C, this made the pool uncomfortable to use.
The main issue, however, was the food quality. Several meat-based dishes — including fried fish, meat cabbage rolls, fried bacon, and sausages — had a noticeably rancid taste. Even basic items such as omelets, fried eggs, and cheese served as appetizers seemed stale, and both the omelets and fried eggs were also served cold. Additionally, some hot dishes, such as fish soup, meat cabbage rolls, and polenta, were served cold, which was both disappointing and concerning.
Interestingly, the desserts appeared to be fresh and were of decent quality, which stood in sharp contrast to the meat- and egg-based dishes.
It is worth noting that I had previously stayed at this hotel in the summer of 2019, when the food quality was impeccable — both in terms of variety and the way dishes were prepared and served. This makes the current situation even more disappointing in comparison.
Soft drinks and wine are served from dispensers; while this may be acceptable, it does not align with expectations for a hotel of this type. That said, the rosé wine was surprisingly good.
Another concerning aspect was the hotel’s handling of guest feedback. While at check-out we were encouraged by reception staff to leave reviews on social media, after I raised concerns about the food quality publicly, members of the hotel management contacted me and pressured me to remove my comments. This approach to feedback is disappointing and undermines trust.
Overall, the experience could have been enjoyable if not for the serious issues with food quality and service style, which felt more like mass catering than hotel dining. Unfortunately, due to the risk of food-related illness and the way feedback is managed, I cannot recommend this hotel — not even for events, and certainly not for families with children.
