Great, clean, quiet and friendly place to stay

We stayed at Poet's Palace twice during a recent visit to Romania. When we first arrived we were made to feel very welcome by Elena.
Our room was very simple, clean and quiet. Just what we wanted. The bathroom was great. Very good coffee and a simple breakfast is available in a small dining room. The centre of the city us a 15 minute walk away.
During our second stay, Andrew went out of his way to make us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble.
We loved staying here. The hosts are wonderful.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Lovely place, with lovely hosts. We enjoyed

I do not recommend

I’ll surely will not stay here ever again. The worst thing about this room was the bathtub. At first I thought they didn’t clean the bathtub and I was so disappointed but then I saw that it was literally melted. And it looked disgusting. The bed sheets were low quality and they didn’t fit the mattress properly, the curtains didn’t fit the door/window and the only vase in the room was broken. We stayed there for three days and they didn’t clean our room or bring us fresh towels, we had to ask for them. The only good thing about this hotel was that it was pretty close to the old town.

Shame about the tram noise

What I liked the most about this hotel was the big TV with a few English channels, effective air-con, modern, comfy beds, fast wifi, helpful staff, good price, within walking distance to the city centre and a fridge in the room. We got a room with a bath and I enjoyed relaxing in it after a hectic day walking round Bucharest. What I didn't like about the hotel was the glass door to the room with a curtain that didn't fit the door properly so didn't block the light out from the outside which seemed to be on all the time, the bed sheets didn't fit the bed properly and were quite itchy. What was the worst thing about the hotel was the noisy trams that trundled past late at night and in the early hours of the morning. Each night we stayed I found it difficult sleeping and was wakened very early every morning.

Good Quiet location, 20 min walk to centre with free parking. very helpful host

we arrived here at last minute as host for original arranged apartment failed to arrive.
host here is very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
greeted us with tea and coffee to settle in after change of plans.
breakfast had a good range of options for all.
rooms were of good size for money with very modern fittings.
room is 20 mins walk from old centre though has tram stop outside for ease of travelling to centre.
Very happy original apartment not available and we stayed here instead
