Perfect for the type of vacation we had

The Vila is very well equipped for what it's advertised to be. AC in most of the rooms, if not all,clean, good conditions, the pool is just awesome, spent most of our time in it, did not feel the need to go anywhere else since this was a much more intimate setting.

Average experience

The garden is nice and with a lot of shade.
They have a pool (it opens only after 24th of may).
The rooms are big and clean
The bathrooms need renovations, all the faucets are defect and rusted.
The restaurant food is good , but nothing special about it.
The paid price.... was too high for what they offered

Basic

We went in Herculane looking for relaxation in an all inclusive comfortable clean location. We found Hera which had a good central location, close to the old city and the main restaurant and kiosks area. The relaxation part was insured by the pool which was clean and provided with kids swimming toys that gave us some fun quality time and the lady that came for the massage, as the owner was nice enough to book us for a session. However we would have appreciated a better room, our being very noisy, different floor from the other one (we had booked 2 rooms) and average cleaned. The house is pleasant with a nice yard where we spent most of the time, not big, but well equipped with sitting places. The meal was mostly unsatisfying and at first we felt services were delivered with an 'attitude", as we got used to it we understood it wasn't personal and got over it. The sulfurous bath provided for free and the massage benefits have been unfortunately "canceled" by the very uncomfortable bed mattress and pillow from our room. Also we had to deal with three pairs of stairs that made access difficult for older us and small younger us. All in one it was an ok-ish experience, but next time I would try something different.

Friendly and Clean

Very good location, simple rooms but clean, friendly personnel, nice terrace, good food, great value...fully reccommended. They speak english and especially the owner, sweet lady called Vicky speaks perfect english and she gave us history tips about the area and Romania generally. The kitchen makes local cuisine and the meal we had it was really tastefull.

A rip off experience

I would never return to this hotel! The service was poor, terrible breakfast food and restaurant staff who doesn't care about you... just to name a few experiences at Villa Hera. I've booked two double rooms and I've been promissed that at least one will have A/C but no one was equiped with air conditioned. Our room was smelly and not being aired. Overall my experience at villa Hera inclines me not to make this hotel a destination. Avoid it!!
