Very beautiful Quinta
Very nice and large quiet property, very welcoming owners. The pool is very nice and clean. The rooms are very nicely decorated and very clean. We had the double room closest to the pool, very nice room but the pumps of the room next door woke me up the 2nd night (I am sensitive to noise) . The meals taken together around the large table are excellent, they are preceded by an aperitif drink. The 7 dogs are very nice and did not pose any problem.

Quinta do Cano. ideal for getting out of the routine
Quinta do Cano. A paradise in Alentejo, 15 minutes from Évora and 10 from Arraiolos. Typical Alentejo house with pool, living room with fireplace, library with bar, books and games. Ideal for resting, charging batteries.
The owners are fantastic, very well welcomed.

5 star treatment and place
It was by birthday present and also first time to stay in a dog friendly hotel. All of us including Watson, who usually shies away from other dogs, loved the place.
The place is just fantastic - it is quiet, the rooms are cool (which is important in Alentejo), the grounds are beautiful and the presence of animals (Irish wolfhounds and other dogs, donkeys, pigs, kittens) create a very friendly relaxed atmosphere. It was super easy to find. We were greeted by Monique. You can tell there is a lot of work invested into the maintenance. The gardens are stunning, the rooms and dining area are immaculately clean. We enjoyed hanging out by the pool, walking around with Watson at the dawn, interacting with other dogs, relaxing in our super comfortable and tastefully decorated apartment. The breakfast was delicious. Wim told me, among other things, that they like visiting Ireland. No wonder we were served hot scones. It is not just the place but the hosts who made our visit very comfortable. Wim saw us off by opening the gate for the car. We drove to Monsaraz in the evening for dinner in the historical castle-village and to see the stars in the Observatory and to Evora for lunch the next day. Both towns are highly recommended. It was great to discover that traveling with a dog can be just as as good as going alone, even better. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you

Truly Magical
This Quinta is a little piece of heaven in the countryside...but a short drive (10 minutes) to Évora. If you don’t have a car, you could take a taxi.
My husband & I were visiting Portugal for the first time and after spending 4 nights in Lisbon we arrived here for 3 nights. We stayed in one of the apartments separate from the main house....”Quintinha Alentejana” It had an old world charm with lots of room, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom with loads of towels, plenty of light with its own terrace along the side and a small sitting place at the front.
Orange and lemon trees laden with fruit, cork and olive trees, lovely gardens, a view of the aqueduct. We were also blessed with warm sunny weather in early March.
Breakfast for an extra charge served in the main house was plentiful & delicious with fresh baking by Monique.
We had a Gourmet dinner one night in the main house which can only be described as magical. Delicious food, candlelight, fresh flowers, & fun conversations.
On our last night after a day of exploring in & around Évora, we enjoyed a lovely meal in the library with our hosts Wim & Monique.
Their friendly dogs, the 2 black pigs and the 4 donkeys just added to the uniqueness and charm of Quinta do Cano.
Wim and Monique are exceptional hosts and they have produced an exceptional website for their property. It very much tells the story of this Quinta.
It was hard to leave here.....but we plan to return once COVID19 has run its course.

Amazing place in Évora
If you look for a quite beautiful place in land, Quinta do Cano is definitely an wonderful place to stay. Is in a rural aerea only 5 minutes away from évora. I do highly recommend this place. Excellent sleep, no noise and great guests...
