Good quality-price
I stayed in the pension for one night. The appartment has 2 rooms, one where the beds are and another one with a fridge, cupboard, table and couple of chairs. Everything was very clean and tidy. They provided towels, a sheet, a blanket and a pillow. No soap. The hot water is perfect. Windows have curtains. The breakfast for 8 euros extra was quite diversified and worth the price (served from 7:30 till 10am). The check out is till 10am, and don't forget to leave the key, because if not they will call you by phone many times or send you messages till you appear with the key back!!. The owner, who was working during reception hours from 14 and 20hs, was very kind, attending my claim to change the room, as I was placed on the ground floor in front of the parking lot and where people was entering the building (quite noisy). Instead I was given a room in the 4th floor, but also leading to this patio where you can hear cars and late comers in the night. Windows are not enough isolated and don't have mosquito nets. The TV was not working. The pension is perfectly placed. Inside it was quite calm. Be aware that there is no elevator, so you will have to climb one floor for the breakfast, and the necessary ones for your room, depending on which floor you are placed. In the pension you are already on Poland side, so if you have a German phone connection you won't be able to use it (unless you pay roaming service). I was foreced to pay the 3 euros for 1 day internet that the pension provides, in order to access to internet and whatsapp.

Not recommended
The new owner friendly that was it then too.The windows mold as well as on the walls no glasses not even for brushing teeth in the toilet paper holder empty roll towel rail in the middle broken etc.this guesthouse not recommended.The photos the on different portals are not at all to compare with reality.Achja and for wifi must be paid I have not yet in any hotel o Pension o Apartment U I travel very much.For and never again

Picobello pension
When we arrived, the heating was not working, but heaters were bought. The location is very good, across the bridge over the river - Poland, close to the center. The breakfast is good, definitely enough. Now the minuses - the rooms were not clean enough, there were long black hairs all over the room, also on the bed, there was also a lot of hair in the sink, not to mention the view when you pull back the cabinets, or look under the bed... the handle to the toilet is broken, you had to get really tired before you could open the toilet :)

Nice hotel
Well located next to the border river. City centers on both sides of the border are within walking distance. Room is large, bathroom is ok although at least soap would be nice addition. Staff is friendly and helpful and price was ok. Good for 1 or 2 nights.

Stay on the other side of the river instead
Picobello Pension is right nest to the border river to Poland, almost 2 kilometres från Görlitz railway station but close to the centre area.
This hotel is more like a hostel. The reception is in a separate building and the hotel is in and old grey building. The damp smell hits you when opening the door.
Negatives
- Uncomfortable bed.
- Wi-Fi is 3€ per day, but the signal did not even reach my room. (A hotel where you are supposed to pay for Wi-Fi 2019 will hopefully be out of business soon.)
- Breakfast is 6€.
- Everything you might need during your stay, basic things like soap and shampoo is SOLD in the reception.
- No air-conditioning.
- Checkout is already at 10 am.
Positives:
- Calm. Sheets and towel are included in the price.
Picobello Pension market themselves as “stay for 16€ per night”, which I assume is per person in a shared room. But I would say that the hotel is worth not more than 16€ per room… Go 50 meters longer across the bridge to Poland and stay there for less and with better quality.
