Advent in Görlitz

We have been with 4 couples over the second Advent weekend in Görlitz, at the Hotel Emmerich.
Beautiful view of the lovingly designed Christmas market. The city has a lot of interesting things to offer. We will definitely come back and also stay at this beautiful hotel.
From the reception, to the breakfast, the restaurant, the design of the entire house and the extraordinary friendliness and professionalism of the staff, we can only express ourselves positively.
We would definitely come back.

Charming Boutique Stay with Outstanding Breakfast

We absolutely loved our stay at the Emmerich Hotel in Görlitz. This small boutique property is full of character, with stylish décor and spacious rooms that feel both comfortable and distinctive. The beds and pillows were exceptionally cozy, making for a great night’s sleep. The front desk staff were welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay.
Breakfast was a highlight—served in a beautiful room and offering an impressive variety: eggs, meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, and excellent coffee. We booked through Booking.com and couldn’t have been more pleased. A delightful stay from start to finish!

Pretty design alone is not enough

We were looking forward to a special hotel in Görlitz.
We experienced two days when the bar and restaurant were closed, the reception almost never staffed.
There was also no vending machine for drinks , nor was there a minibar.
The room was beautiful but.....
I wanted a bathroom that, despite all the design madness, has a door that you can close behind you and doesn't have to go to the other room corner out of discretion when your partner visits the toilet.From other reviews I see that I'm not alone in my desire.
The paid parking lot in a side street unlit , unguarded and accessible to everyone.
This, too, has been criticized several times.
We are of the hotel trade and architect
and find that these deficiencies would be easy to remedy.

Superb and ideally placed

Huge and well soundproofed room; ideal central location; possibility of Pk outside fenced for 5 € to 300m; complete equipment (I did not pay attention to the presence or not of air conditioning, it was in winter). Superb breakfast with fresh products; for TV fans, 3 French channels.
If a large fabric curtain could isolate the bath part from the night part it would be perfect.
Many hotels in Görlitz but without hesitation I take over this one. Please note that the reception is only open at certain times.

Great pension !

Pension " Alte Dakerei " has left NO wishes unfulfilled. Everything was just right here from arrival to departure . Great room , very clean , homely and comfortably furnished. The breakfast is not only very extensive but also lovingly arranged. We felt very comfortable in the 4 days and can recommend this guesthouse gladly. Thank you all the staff for the great service .
