Private room was great

I stayed here for a month to spent time with a friend in gdansk. I had a private room with double bed for 13 euro a night. No problems with the room or hostel and was exactly what I expected. The staff were friendly towards me. I recommend this place if you are after cheap, private accommodation.

It might be better

The hostel really might be better for such price. It was stinky all the time, especially in the evening. They except cash only, but the receptionist didn't have money for change. And first we've got the wrong room.

Not recommended

There are several problems with accomodation in Baltic hostel, but the most unpleasant is stink. Although smoking is formally forbiden, the smell is everywhere and if you have windows to yard, it is not very idea to open the window, because always someone smokes here.
Well, then there are several minor probles. The prize per room is very different to the price witten on webpage. Then some of their services are not available (przechowalnia bagażu) and some are limited (the wifi was working for about 15 minitus during 4 days). Kitchen, our room, backyard and hostel itself is quiet neglected - in kitchen are only few plates and cups and even les spoons, forks and kniives. There is also no cooker. In room we had very old and not very comfortable matraces and no place as shelf or cabinet to put clothes in.
Tu conclude, the hostel has quality as some cheap workers lodging house and it only tries to be a hostel. However, with no remarkable succes.

Terrible !

It was probably the worst hostel I ever stayed it was the cheapest hostel
Not so far from the old town but You should consider staying there
The stuff don't speak English , the owner was rude , it was dirty and messy , when we entered the room we saw they didn't clean the room at all ! They cleaned after we complained.
the neighborhood is dangerous !
Especially for foreigners , drunk and homeless are everywhere , we were afraid to go out at midnight
They have kitchen but dirty and stinky as the rest of the hostel. Smells cigarettes all around
There is a common room but it's like disaster there is only a tv which is 40 years old maybe

Never go there!!!

Don't even think about going there. We stayed there, because there was a problem with our initially booked hostel. The lady hosting doesn't speak English at all. The room hasn't been cleaned for very long time and it was full of spider webs. On the floor there were some other bugs crawling. The sheets were ragged and doubtfully clean. There is no warm or cold water in the bathroom, neither on the sink, nor on the shower, because they have only one water tap.
In conclusion: Awful place!!!
