This is a VERY mediocre hotel. Very bad for the price. The mattress was so bad, with springs poking me all night, I almost slept on the floor. The A/C is other off or on full blast, with l levers broken and always facing down at the bed. I spent the night freezing. The shower had hot water, for 2 minutes....

As part of my layover in Manila, I chose this hotel, mainly based on price and location. I must say that City State Tower Hotel met the grade on both of these. Although it is somewhat dated, the hotel has very adequate facilities with a very helpful and friendly staff. There are many stores, restaurants and other places of interest very close by, including Robinson, which has a huge supermarket and department store. The room had a comfortable bed, a very good air conditioner and good sink and shower with warm water. There is even a water kettle for coffee or tea. So overall, very satisfied and I definitely would stay there again in the future.

My wife and I have stayed there a number of times the staff have been friendly but on 1 occasions we checked out waited down stairs for about 2 hours then all of a sudden we were accused of leaving a dirty towel and they wanted to charge us P1,500 I checked the room and towels etc and all were hung up and clean they ended up charging us P700 we were ripped off as I know how we left the room we have stayed there since But we get the room checked when arriving and I will wait for them to come to the room when checking out We were ripped off and the Manager knew this it was very upsetting as I’ve always been very tidy in the room and never left it dirty so my Suggestion don’t leave your room until you have someone come and check it same on arrival any thing broken bring it to there attention other wise they will pull the same trick as they did on us Someone put a dirty towel amongst ours as there was 5 towles so I never learnt a BIG lesson from this I never check out of any motel until they come check it ,it could be a trick they pull on customers to rip them off BE WARNED
