Buenisimo! Very Good!

Excelente, muy buen servicio, staff muy atento, los cuartos comodos y bien equipados y el wi fi muy bueno.we went to the area to surf and it was the best decision, it's close to many world class spots and the food at machurestobar deserves the highest note! Be Aware!Attention/Muy Male... riego

Be Aware / we had the worst night of all our travels in exactly this hotel ... booked was an executive room but we did A quasi prison get the nix with the beautiful pictures as the hotel likes to present itself (also all other pictures ) of course also no hot water ... super loud and deep into the night and very early in the morning so loud that you could not sleep ... after we had complained immediately the hotel was then full (although after the complaint at 5 on even more new guests checked in... we were screwed to say it clearly ... and that for 50 euros which is very much there ... the hotel should have more 1 star and so cost 12 euros then I would understand the reviews ...

This hotel reflects the town

Talara is an industrial city, therefore it's filthy, gloomy and not much to do. The Oro Negro is at the city's image, we found a few long black hair on the room floor when we arrived, three days later the few long black hair were still at the same spot, telling me that they don't even sweep the room when they "clean" it. In their 3 car "parking lot" there's a guard dog that barks and howl day and night, on booking.com they tell you that there's parking available when in fact there are only 3 spots and it needs to be reserved. Since we didn't know about it we were able to have a spot the first night but had to park on the street the next two. You can't access the lot on your own since there's a dog and the gate is locked so everytime you wanna get to your vehicle you have to ask the desk attendant. You also have to return the room's key every time you exit the premises which makes it so archaic it's pathetic. The owner (middle aged gringo) is as friendly as a cell door and the staff has the charisma of stop signs and didn't offer to help carrying our equipaje ( I don't know but if I see a person struggling to open the door while juggling with 4 bags I'd offer some help even if it's just to hold the door open) therefore, no tip. Bottom line that place sucks, if you end up there for work that might be enough as after a 12 hour shift you're so tired that you aren't too picky and you can deal with it but as a tourist visiting the salar, el bosque petrificado or the westernmost point of South America you sure wanna stay away from that place. The plus: good hot showers, the restaurant offers a good variety of delicious food at decent price.
The cons: too many to count.

Cleanliness and Service

Te value and quality provided for my money was much greater than Oro Negro's competitors that I unfortunately had to stay for one night, because the reservation was done by my clients assistant.
They are well informed now where I want to stay next while in Talara.

Great place for the price

The price of the hotel is great and it is very clean and modern; however, the internet connection speed is terrible. If you are coming to this hotel for business, I would highly advise you look for a different hotel in Talara.
