A real Peruvian experience

Staying in a small community that was ravaged by the 2007 earthquake shows the resilience of the Peruvian people. A hustling community with very few tourists we were able to see a vibrant community that takes care of its citizens. Staying at Posada Gino it was steps away from the plaza de arms, which was exceptionally clean with water trucked in to water the trees and grass. People congregated every evening to socialize, listen to speeches and it seemed like every evening set off fireworks. Unlike Paracus, which caters to tourists, Pisco gives a unique view into a community that is thriving after the 2007 earthquake.
The Owner of Posada Gino was exceptionally accommodating, providing a reasonably priced great breakfast, clean rooms and uninterrupted consistent hot water for a welcomed shower after long days of sight seeing!!

Dissapointment

we had a peculiar experince ,
We book 2 rooms, and got one, they are pretty small also.
We though I
It had a beach and piano is still recovering from a terrible earthquake.
So the looks of the place are depressing.
Gino was very helpful, we decided to leave straight away to cusco and help us to get aticket and a taxi, and we had showers and prepare a sandwich on his kitchen, so even if we did not manage to go to Paracas, we had a quick exit from cusco.
The hotel is small, but renewed and he is super nice person nd very resourceful

Safe and Friendly

We recommend you stay with Gino in Pisco as he is a friendly person who can organise reasonably priced tours and has lots of free advice on what to do and see. It is great to support Pisco as it is rebuilding its tourism industry after the earthquakes. Posada Gino is in a good location and is clean and tidy.

Decent value for money, poor wifi, generally acceptable

I stayed here for two nights paying USD15/night through booking.com for a twin room (single occupancy).
The room wasn't huge but it was clean and reasonably comfortable if a little warm. The en-suite bathroom was small but OK. The wifi was borderline unusable in my room but did work if I went to sit down in reception.
The location is fairly good, it's a short walk to the central plaza. I didn't really do anything in Pisco itself for various reasons, so this didn't actually make that much difference to me.
The owner seemed fairly friendly and helpful and arranged a tour to Islas Ballestas and Paracas National Reserve for me at what I think was a reasonable price, which saved me wasting time trying to organise it for myself during my very brief stay; I was in Pisco mainly to visit Islas Ballestas on my way between Cusco and Lima.
I'd certainly consider staying here again, although all other things being equal somewhere I could have reliable wifi in my room would probably win out over this place.

Desayuno: No incluye desayuno. Puedes pedir pero es un extra.
En líneas generales, lo considero una buena opción para una estadía barata y corta en una zona céntrica.

Excellent location
