Good all around

After our first 3-night booking at Paracas backpackers was lost, we went around the corner to Willy's and found friendly Willy. We got a very clean double room with a modern ensuite bathroom, towels and breakfast included for just a few soles more than our original booking at Paracas Backpackers. We thought it was great value at Willy's and were so glad we had moved. There's an enclosed patio to escape the craziness of a January weekend where we could find some peace. It seems like a new place, and all is new and clean, but I would suggest that the owners might use mattress protectors. Would stay again if chose to be in Paracas.

Disappointing end to stay

The place is clean and well located off the Main Street. However due to the road blockades going south we stayed for three extra nights. As we waited to find out whether the bus to Ica would actually go on the 16th we stayed in the room until 4pm . The ICA bus had been cancelled three days in a row. We were charged for an extra night in an otherwise completely empty place for staying in the room until 4 pm . Not good. Sour taste.

Would not recommend

We stayed at Willis house for 1 night. Front desk staff did not speak English at all. Upon arrival we were informed that price we booked the room for was not correct, and we have to pay $14 for each room. Since we booked rooms online far in advance property should send us an email indicating price change at least. Rooms were very basic, in the older building- not even similar to online posting on Booking.com. Towels were not provided. ( extra 5 soles). There was not a hot water at the evening or toilet paper after 10pm.

Really enjoyed my stay

The place is being renovated and I got one of the new rooms which was really nice for the price. It’s been done on the cheap but really nicely. Beds are comfy, shower hot, really clean. The only issue was that the only windows faced into the reception area so it became quite hot and stuffy and with the bathroom window open (which I had to climb on the sink to open/close) everyone can hear you...not ideal really. It also meant that the lights were on all night outside and the curtains didn’t cover the window so was very light and a bit noisy. But with eye mask and earplugs it was ok. Overall though I really enjoyed my stay and would happily stay again

Not great

We were in one of the not renovated rooms. Although it was really cheap, the whole place really needs the renovations finished. There’s only one bathroom with a shower in it for women and one for men with lots of people queuing to use these in the mornings. Really needs more or to have the toilet separate from the shower. They also were not very clean and ran out of toilet paper.
Breakfast included was some scrambled egg and bread rolls. The portion is very small though.
Hopefully the place will be better when the renovations are done.
