Great Vibe, good food beautiful view

Enjoyed a lovely lunch and the view was fabulous! We had fresh smoothies, hot cappuccino and empenadas. It really hit the spot after a surf lesson at their surf school, run by Pilar. The staff were friendly and low-key as you expect for the beach. Loved the vibe here!

I don't recommend it!

Hotel located right by the sea
Very welcoming and helpful staff
On the other hand, the hotel infrastructure is deplorable.
at the end of the first night we had decided to leave but could not change our LATAM boarding passes and could not get a refund from the Del Wawa hotel, so we stayed reluctantly!
Power cuts, hellish noise from the nearby generator until midnight, water cuts, sewage back-up, bad smells, uninsulated, unconditioned rooms, very noisy context until 4am at weekends, very noisy ceiling fan, recurring Wifi blackouts or even a whole day.
In 6 days, the room was reviewed only once. We were cleaning ourselves by stealing the bucket from the housekeeper around noon.
No washing service, just bathroom sink and 2 mini soaps, impossible to dry properly (no device)
Hello the smells of old clothes badly dried
Moreover, no luck, one night we had a huge storm, water was entering the rooms because the gutters were off-center, mud everywhere!
consequences: out of bed, we had wet feet, shower and toilet impassable. In short... Yes, comfort is very sketchy. (In Africa in remote locations, I haven’t seen worse )
Sometimes the breakfast was incomplete due to power cut in the kitchen. (no juice)
No intervention by the manager, no excuse, no commercial gesture.
This establishment at least is suitable for a stopover of a day at most or for Surfers in love with their sport which puts priority on waves, if you are not in this category I strongly advise you not to stay in this hotel because it is impossible to rest there (our room was just near a dirt road where Quad and motorcycle (not cool)
We ate nearby in several restaurants in Mancora and most of them confirmed that this hotel was not recommended for tourists.
... and yes, (we have to adapt ) it’s a hotel that marks and leaves not very positive holiday memories, in fact we made a mistake in destination and planning because if you don’t surf ‍♀️, in one day you visited Mancora (and yeah little to visit! not even a shop that exchanges the currency dollars or Euros in Soles, which translates a very low percentage of European tourists ) ... and yet via the Internet I saw an advertisement that mentioned Mancora as a seaside resort!
If you are a foreign tourist, aim for another drop-off point. ✌️

Black Shell Ceviche Without Black Shell

I just went to the restaurant, ordered a black shell ceviche and they brought it to me without telling me that there was no more black shell , but charged me the same. I think it's pretty unfair. I tried to explain it to the two ladies who work there, but they just laughed.

The best of best!

Absolutely the best hotel on Mancora beach. Also the only hotel with protected beach chairs and sun beds - enjoy the sun without being disturbed by vendors! Prime location (right off surfer's point). Food and dining area are amazing (all sea-view of course). Hot shower in all rooms. There's no AC but rooms are all well ventilated; I never felt too hot. High safety and hygiene standards. Friendly staff (mostly Spanish speaking - time to learn some Spanish!). Great atmosphere - good for solo travelers, remote workers, and families. Wifi is perfect in lobby / dining area / tanning area; could be shaky in certain corner rooms but can easily be worked around by using Wifi from next door :p If you like quietness during the day, choose sea-view rooms at the corner, non sea-view rooms, or rooms in the back garden. They also have monthly discount available. Stay here and you won't regret!

Great lunch spot!

A few of us came here for lunch, although there is very limited options for vegetarians, the vegetarian sandwich was good. My mum also commented that the cobb salad was lovely! Great location and not too bad on price.
Would like to see more veggie options in the future.
