Sweet Spot worth the drive to get there.

We drove to Las Cherelas from Tumbas. This quaint little hotel sits on its own beach with private bungalos.i was in room 7 which is super spacious huge deck overlooking the beach and ocean. The staff are all super friendly. They arranged a fishing trip for us. The ocean was rough and windy so not ideal conditions and it was off season for fighing. But it was still an adventure and we caught 1 40 KG Wahoo which was better than strining out. The father Jesus, son Captain Julio and his younger brother Aron were a great team, friendly, with the gift of hospitality. I would love to come back during their peak fishing season.

Disappointing and overpriced

Disappointing and overpriced
The setting and style of bungalow accommodation are nice and the food in the restaurant is good however the whole experience was very disappointing.
We chose this place for the promise of good fishing. We messaged repeatedly in the months leading up to our stay and the communication was very poor.
Billed as an ‘apart hotel’ the kitchen has no equipment and there are signs everywhere saying that you’re prohibited from taking any food or drinks from outside.
Breakfast was limited and poor quality with no fruit available.
The pool is closed until 10am. So no option to swim outside the full strength of the sun. Especially disappointing for children.
There are small signs everywhere with rules/restrictions.
There decor features lots of fun fish paintings etc and the place is billed as a fishing lodge but it felt more like a small hotel than a haven for fishing enthusiasts.

Healing in Cherelas

Excellent service, A1 staff, all excellent. I was happy there. I'll be back soon. Wonderful and healing place. The kayaking experience the best.

Very good experience

Las Cherelas is a quiet and relaxing place, to spend it with family, seniors and children.
You don't need to leave the hotel, they have all the services.
