Perfect for Family stay

Very nice hotel, friendly staff, neat and clean and perfect for family. Slightly off from Mall road around 10-15 mins walk. BTW there is a very good park closer to this hotel with lots of activities such as zip line etc. Reaching this hotel is easy as the route avoids traffic of Mall road.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. I would suggest the hotel to have better insulation as cold air kept creeping through whilst it was already cold. The bed sheet were slightly stained which was disappointing. The main building of the hotel was pretty and the breakfast was just okay nothing spectacular. There was free parking available for those driving. The hotel is a 15/20 mins drive to Mall Road. The staff at the hotel were kind and professional.

This is a unique, interesting property with amazing views of the mountains. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The shower did not work well and the food was average,, but otherwise we had a great stay. I would definitely recommend for anyone traveling to Murree.

Pathetic management

The worst hotel ever to stay the staff don’t know how to deal with guests . Such a pathetic management plus you cannot trust staff for your belongings. Will never visit again. Can’t believe that these kind of luxurious and reputable hotel also holds such kind of management. Really disappointed!

Unshelled

The hotel is set in a property that is over 100 years old and they have done everything in their power to give it a restored property feel (in the main wing).
If we can ignore the concrete buildings disrupting the view - it’s pretty spectacular.
Lastly the drive from Islamabad is pretty decent too, 2 hours with good roads.
Now the negatives:
- the service is extremely slow and inconsistent. (unless you are celebrity). 3 nights stay in a junior suite and I never got a mini bar in my room.
- Room service is not available at night. Given that the location is remote with nothing at a walking distance, this is a pretty big minus. If you get hungry or crave coffee late night or even early morning at like 6/7am you have to wait.
- Breakfast (in room or restaurant) does not open before 8am. So early risers have to wait.
- housekeeping is slow and even daily room cleaning needs multiple reminders.
- menu and food options are pretty limited - and only the desi (local Pakistani) food is good. Everything else from Chinese to Sandwiches were a miss. Better to order on your foodpanda app.
