Magestic halfway stop hotel

I assume most tourists stop in Gilgit as an overnight between Skardu or Naraan and Hunza as we did the same twice since the travelling time between the 2 is quite long. Stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Gilgit town, this hotel seems to be an institution in this town with a wedding/conference venue as well. What makes is even more impressive is that they run on Generator power almost continuously which is very expensive. We arrived late after 10pm but they were welcoming and kept the restaurant open for us fully staffed. Food variety was more than adequate and quite tasty (breakfast as well). They also had porters ready to offload our bags and bring to the rooms at that hour, kudos to them. Rooms were perfect and of a good size and lovely beds. The glass lift viewing out on to the atrium is a nice touch. I had hoped to use the sauna/spa but it was closed for maintenance - my only gripe. Behind the Lobby, the hotel leads out onto a terrace with a massive pool and . The front of the hotel has sprawling gardens where you can also relax and take in the views. The hundreds of rose plants were on the verge of blooming, pity we missed it.

Modern corporate style hotel

Due to a change of plans on our tour we stayed here for one night unexpectedly. The hotel is impressive as you enter. Air con, marble, glass life etc. Rooms were decent - I had a balcony overlooking the garden and town beyond. That said, the staff were a bit distant and the breakfast buffet was poor. A random selection of bits and pieces!
A short walk along the road there are several small stores and fruit sellers so handy for on the go provisions.
I’d agree with a previous reviewer - I was very disappointed that the hotel refused to supply a room for our hardworking guides/drivers. After a long day on the mountain roads and having chosen to book ten rooms at this hotel the least they could do is to provide lodgings for everyone. Personally I would not choose this type of corporate hotel as there are many others with a more welcoming attitude and personal touch.

A comfortable stay in a beautiful setting, with a few areas for improvement

We recently stayed at this modern and well-maintained hotel and were generally very pleased with our experience. After a long 4-hour drive, we were warmly welcomed with a refreshing cold drink, which was much appreciated. The check-in process was quick and efficient, handled with a genuine smile by the front desk team.
Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely presented, with crisp bedding, a fresh scent, and a comfortable bed. The balcony offered a stunning view of Gilgit and the surrounding mountains, which was a real highlight of our stay.
Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was excellent—both the food and service were top-notch. The evening staff were professional and pleasant, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
The hotel also features a beautiful terrace garden, where peacocks roam freely—a lovely and unique touch.
That said, there were a few drawbacks. Breakfast was underwhelming, and the experience was affected by disorganised staff, who appeared flustered and uncoordinated, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy.
Another concern is that the hotel does not offer sleeping arrangements for drivers. This is a significant inconvenience, especially for travellers who hire private transport, as it makes it difficult for drivers to find affordable nearby accommodation.
Additionally, although the hotel is advertised as non-smoking, we noticed a guest smoking in a public area. Despite bringing it to the attention of staff, it wasn’t clear whether any action was taken. This detracted from the otherwise calm and pleasant environment.
The hotel does not provide any irons in rooms or on request which I have never experienced in any hotel. The only option is to use the paid hotel ironing service. I was told this was a policy from the head office and that several other guests had also complained ed about the previously. This needs to be addressed urgently as it cannot be expected that guests either go around in un-ironed clothes or are forced to pay for the hotels ironing service.
Lastly, the snooker table needs maintenance—one of the cues was broken, and the triangle was missing, which made it difficult to enjoy a proper game.
Overall, this is a lovely hotel with a lot of potential, and we would consider returning. With a few improvements—particularly around staff training, enforcing hotel policies, and driver accommodation—it could offer an even better experience.

The most outstanding customer service and breathtaking views

Beautiful location with breathtaking views of the Gilgit mountains. Very clean and modern hotel, with clean bathroom and toilet. Comfortable and beautiful rooms which look and feel new, with amazing beds. Staff were beyond exceptional, so customer oriented, particularly Mr Abbas who was just overwhelmingly kind and supportive. My flight was cancelled to Islamabad a few hours before I was due to fly and I asked Mr Abbas to find me a driver and car as soon as possible as I had to be in Islamabad the next morning. Within 30 minutes he had arranged this for me and I will be forever thankful and grateful. The whole reception and reservation team were fantastic in greeting us upon checking and working together to make sure we left promptly too. The love and support they showed me and my son was overwhelming, and will not be forgotten.
In my haste to run out of the hotel to drive back to Islamabad I left my running trainers and contacted the hotel if they had them. Not only did they confirm they found them, but they also said they would send them to Islamabad (to my family’s house) as a gesture of goodwill. Like I said, this is outstanding customer service and I know it is genuine.
One day I will return this the hotel, maybe even next year, and I really look forward to seeing these beautiful people - particularly Mr Abbas.
Thank you once again.

Modern and Nice Hotel in Gilgit

A very nice and modern hotel close to Gilgit Downtown. I am a walking sort of person and liked the floors having a 200m walkaround corridor. It was quite warm outside, so appreciated the AC inside. Very nice breakfast and facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A much better experience than I expected from a Ramada.
