lovely mid-range option in musandam

there are not many accommodation options in khasab, but this appears to be a popular options among local and regional tourists.
the hotel rooms appear to be newly renovated. there are a variety of rooms available. our triple room is spacious with good shower and AC. internet is a little weak the further away you get from reception, but not a deal breaker. breakfast is ample and catered buffet style by the pool side every morning. hotel staff are friendly and accommodating.
the hotel is being managed by the same owner as the dolphin tour company, which also has a tour desk onsite.. for musandam fjord dhow cruise, shared tours are offered at 10 omr (half day) and 15 omr (full day), per person. for maximum flexibility, we decided to book a private 4-5h tour in a speed boat instead at 50 omr. this allows us to dictate the route and tour sites that are not on standard cruise itinerary.

Good hotel for the price but never stay on the ground floor

I was quite happy first day, as staff was excellent and for the excellent price hotel was great. However second night was very bad - all rooms on the ground floor are connected by corridor to the reception area and doors are very thin. All arriving guests at night take complete freedom to talk as loud as they care, plus kids, so sleeping is impossible. I called reception 2 times asking to fix that, in vain. 3rd time I went there at 2am asking to keep quiet, but again didn’t help. I understand it’s not a 4 seasons, but if they don’t understand that their guests want to sleep, they need to put an extra doors at the reception or some carpet on the floor or replace doors, to reduce sound and noise.
Breakfast is very Indian style but ok for 2 times.
Beds are very uncomfortable and aircon super noisy. But all these issues could be expected, however not the service of that kind.

Just an Okey stay

I stayed for one night, and overall, it was just an average experience. The room facilities were nothing special, and I had repeated issues with my key card, requiring trips to the reception. The biggest disappointment was the dinner service—no staff showed up for a long time, forcing me to go into the kitchen myself. The menu lacked variety, and the portion sizes were excessive, leading to unnecessary waste. On the positive side, breakfast was the only highlight.

reasonable budget option with pool but far from port

This hotel one of the originals and kept in good condition and very clean with friendly staff plus a pool. Hotel is situated on landward side of town but does provide free shuttle to airport and tours come to pick you up. In addition to this budget option, I noticed a couple of newer hotels with sea views close to port for about the same prices that might be worth also investigating = Hotel Diwan Al Amir and Alhama Hotel Apartments

Great experience

Friendly hotel, the staff goes out of their way to fulfill all your requests, do not hesitate to book all your excursions and car rentals with them ;-)
They let us go to our room at 9:30 a.m. and offered us breakfast, likewise on the day of departure we kept the room until 3:00 p.m.
The rooms are spacious, the Hotel has a restaurant, breakfast and buffet style
