Amazing place

Our visit here was absolutely the best EVER!!! The host (Mark) and his wife could not have been any better or more gracious. The rooms were perfect, the supper & breakfast was really good I would stay here again and would love it all over again.

Incorrect advertising

Here, it is advertised via text and not least pictures for a place with, among others, a restaurant, breakfast included in the price, pool. The restaurant had two offers: pizza or fish and chips(no menu- so we did not know the price of what we ordered), the breakfast they would have paid extra for and the pool was 25 minutes away. Nice couple that kept going here, but the pictures do not match with reality.

Sogn Hotel is now under new management, and several important changes are being implemented. From this season onward, breakfast will be included in all room rates, and our dinner concept has been completely renewed.

Hotel with amazing view!

Hotel with an amazing view at seaside by the fjord. Really friendly staff and calming atmosphere. The art in the hotel is very nice, and modern. Lovely to sit outside by the fjord. Pizza was excellent. Would recommend!

It's a shame that with such beautiful location and view, the Sogn Hotel is just merely a passing by hotel. Lavik Fjord Hotel was fully booked so we had to stay here for one night in early Aug as we're driving back from Sogndal via Loen to Bergen. The hotel is in need of renovation and is currently undergoing it but we wish that price would be adjusted accordingly. The photos on the webs shows a modern room but the outside is so worn out from the lobby, the stairs to the bathroom that it is a bit misleading as to the overall condition of the hotel. Worn out and unused furniture and chairs were stacked all over the back hallway by the stairs. The room itself is very small (beds are single rather than double) and the very small bathroom looks like it's been like that since the '60s. The rooms facing the fjord has beautiful views and that's about it. The next day, we traveled through Lavik to Bergen (15 to 20 min) and visited the Lavik Fjord Hotel to ask for activities recommendation, how we wish we could've stayed there. We asked if there're other dining options around Vadheim and was told there's nothing, not even some recommendation on whether there's any convenient store nearby. So basically, you're forced to dine at this hotel if you don't want to drive to Lavik. We found a grocery/convenient store just behind the hotel where we got our fruits and snacks to last us 'til we got to Lavik.

Good stop / average hotel but expensive

Not far from the Larvik hotel, the hotel is nice located with good view but quite expensive for what it is. Average hotel and quite old style with high price. Would be perfect if price was adapted to the standing of the hotel. Very friendly staff.
