Did not expect such a good hotel in a place I’ve never even heard about before.

No ventilation in the rooms, way too hot in summertime. No real curtains, room is light as day from early morning. Staff did not clean once on our 4 day stay, no new towels or toilet paper.
Staff in reception were friendly and nice, but the conditions are horrible and in summertime you will not have a good stay due to no ventilation or cooling in the rooms. Lots of noise from traffic. Will avoid this hotel if I can.

Modern hotel with beautiful location and good food

I stayed at Quality Hotel Ulstein for one night when visiting Ulsteinvik for business. The hotel is relatively new, appears modern, and has a beautiful location at the ocean front. At the same time, the hotel is in the center of town so you have walking distance to everything. We had breakfast, dinner and two lunches there, and all the meals were very good. The room I got was small, but it was big enough for one person, had everything I needed, and had a average size bathroom. However, the room was facing the lobby, so there was no option to open the windows to let in fresh air, and the curtains had to be closed all the time, giving me the feeling of being locked in a box, and I had problems sleeping. So, although the hotel as such was OK, I was not at all happy with the room and the sleep quality.
