Great stay in authentic North Norwegian environment

Hey, thank you for our stay in August! In many places there's plenty of feedback, you don't, and that's okay. But it was very nice to see Tranøy (which I had not heard of before..) and the good welcome you gave. For us who are interested in ancient coastal cultures, it was in the middle of the blink.
The place is complete with the church and priesthood and current operation. And very good food! And good beer from Senja!
Good luck with the operation, we are a little impressed by the move.

Magical place to stay

We had a lovely stay at the old vicarage on Tranøya. Wenche is a very welcoming hostess and from first pick-up by boat from Senja to the drop-off back to the pier, she could not be more helpful. We were fascinated to learn about life on Tranøya and its history. We loved the peace on the island and enjoyed exploring it, including the church and little museum, as well as swimming from the pier. Wenche's home cooking was delicious, the bedrooms were comfortable, and the rooms were spotlessly clean. A fantastic place for a deeply relaxing break. Highly recommended.

A once in a lifetime, magical place. Our best memory of Norway!

A magical place! We basically had the whole island to ourselves other than the sheep, chickens and our host. Peaceful, relaxing and phenomenal homemade meals. We also got to see the Aurora Borealis through the night! O highly recommend booking a stay at Tranoya!

Extraordinary place out of time

This place is simply extraordinary.
We discovered it in the summer 2.5 years ago and we promised to come back in the winter.
The place, the atmosphere, the welcome and the cuisine of Wenche are extraordinary.
If you appreciate disconnection, nature and simple luxury, this place is for you. "simplicity is the ultimate luxury".

Beautiful location away from the world.

Tranoya is a lovely small island off the coast of Senja. The B&B used to be the Rectory for the lovely old church next door.
Wenke the business owner will meet you at a jetty on Senja to take you on the small boat ride over to the island. It is a unique experience, and the accommodation is lovely, great decoration, and great hospitality from Wenke. The food was great.
There are walks around the island, and kayak equipment etc for hire. But we just walked and relaxed. Only stayed overnight but would have liked longer!
If you’ve been hiking all over the place on your holiday, this is a great place just to relax and take it easy for a few days.
