Warm and welcoming atmosphere with great service and an excellent food experience

We went to Stranda to ski, but the weather and skiing conditions were bad that weekend! Buuut....
Overvoll Farm, on the other hand, had a warm and welcoming atmosphere with great service and an excellent food experience. Remember really well laying in bed hearing the wind blasting outside, and at the same time hearing and smelling that things were happening in the kitchen.
We were served several dishes for dinner with deer stew, gratinated potatoes, and several types of salads. Some of the dishes had a Japanese twist to them, based on inspiration the hostess had gathered during her travels. The breakfast we received the following morning was also great.

A tasteful experience in every way :)

Here it was easy to find the peace and time for good conversations in a nostalgic environment, which takes us back in time. We had a fantastic food experience both day 1 and day 2, using raw materials from the area. An interesting and nice presentation of both Overvoll and the philosophy behind taking care of the nature around us.

We arrived in the afternoon and were awarded a nice room with nostalgic details. The old mansion was very cozy and authentic and created good memories from the past. Hege Kristin dish up with great creative dishes where most of the raw materials were picked from her own garden. We sat at the table with the other guests and this we found very interesting and enriching. We played golf on the field on the farm. This was very nice and relaxing compared to golf in the city.
We can recommend this pearl.

The high rating on Tripadvisor is well deserved! An authentic class stay!

We enjoyed the old authentic building and the very friendly owner. She is a warm person who provides dinner and breakfast herself. You eat there with the other guests at a large table and get to talk to them, very nice! You will not miss anything when it comes to food. Dinner might not be something you would choose yourself, but it tasted fantastic! It is prepared with passion and you can taste it. Be surprised!

Good company, good rest and better food!

We loved everything; The host is super friendly, WONDERFUL, her art in the kitchen is incredible, she delighted us with a luxury dinner, an explosion of flavors, so different, and at the same time everything combined together fit perfectly. Breakfast, of course, was equally up to par, all homemade and delicious. We were able to check in earlier, and as soon as we arrived he offered my children some toys to play with, they were delighted. The room is huge and beautiful, comfortable, well decorated. Everything was clean and spotless, they offered us the use of the kitchen if we needed and the bathroom was shared only with another couple. Always clean. It was a most pleasant stay, as we were very lucky to meet and share a table with wonderful people who were also staying there. A highly recommended place, without a doubt.
