Nice hotel stay on Røros

We stayed here one night in connection with a leisure trip. The hotel has a central location and is easy to reach by car, train and other means of transport.
We were greeted by a very nice and friendly service. This impression lasted throughout the entire stay. The hotel also offers baggage storage before/after check-out if necessary.
The room was not so large but practically furnished and the bed was very good. The bathroom is quite small. It is an older building, but the rooms are delicately renovated and modernized.
Breakfast was great with a-la-carte menu, which both raises the level of service and reduces food waste.

No shit with breakfast buffet

Clean and good size in the room. Hard beds. Stairs all over, which is tiring for someone with knee problems. Disappointing that a good breakfast was replaced with a la cart, it was not successful. Few Norwegian-speaking employees, a problem especially for the elderly who do not speak English. Plus for free parking and location.

Hopefully an experience of a lifetime - never again

After a round-trip with accommodation in five different hotels, Bergstadens Hotel & Spa gave us an experience beyond imagination.
The room was the smallest room we have ever experienced, at a price more than twice the price charged by the other four hotels we stayed at during our round-trip.
On top of this, the bath room was extremely small and the level of amenities and maintenance was far below normal standard.
A disgrace to the travel industry !

Poor service, gloomy and worn hotel

A worn hotel with a dark and dark brown lounge, many chairs were not suitable to not sit on. As a group, we experienced a strong downpriority. The meeting with the reception was a disaster. When the group arrived, there was only one employee sitting on the phone for 10-15 minutes. No extra was called. Service was not existing, staff was maternal. The group was given incorrect information about available rooms. I had to fight three times with the front desk for the pre-booked allergy/non-smoking room for us with asthma/allergy. We got a relatively narrow shared bed, despite the pre-order of two separate beds (we weren't spouses!) This is a serious management problem - staff in the reception lack training!
