Really enjoyable place to stay

We stayed here for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom cabin. Whilst the accommodation was a little dated, this didn’t really matter as everything worked well and was comfortable and the location is stunning. You need a car to get here.
Many walks start from the property which makes it a great base for a walking-based stay in Geiranger.
The people that own and operate the accommodation are lovely.

Rental and restaurant

We stayed in an apartment located upstairs in a cottage. The accommodation was for 4 and spacious enough. Beautiful views of the mountains in front and one end of the fjord. Friendly welcome. We also tested the restaurant , good , very nice setting but very expensive, as everywhere in Norway. Possibility to buy breakfast the day before to take in the apartment. Hiking trails starting from there. We have a good memory of it.

Nice view for the rest to review

Booked for the last night only, the house was rather old and had smelly bed duvets. Once I booked I discovered that both cleaning and bed/bathroom linen were paid. Nice view but definitely not worth the price: for the same amount we stayed in a well-known Scandinavian hotel chain with an incredible breakfast.

Chambre avec vue... sur la terrasse du restaurant

"Grace"au Routard, j'ai réservé 3 nuits à 106€ la nuit, draps et ménage compris, sans petit-déjeuner.
Le propriétaire m'a reçu sans un bonjour, me demandant mon nom sur le parking pour "savoir si j'avais le droit d'être là".
Ma réservation étant confirmée, on m'a, j'aurais dû me méfier, fait payer avant de me montrer la chambre.
La chambre: mansarde où je tiens debout sur 8m2.
Comme je suis claustrophobe, je demande toujours une chambre avec vue dégagée. Ici, 2 petites fenêtres donnant, l'une sur la terrasse du restaurant, l'autre sur le chemin d'accès.
Pas de penderie ni de rangement pour les vêtements.
J'ai demandé de changer de chambre, on m'a dit que ce serait beaucoup plus cher.
J'ai demandé si je pouvais être remboursé, on m'a dit que je devrais payer une des 3 nuits.
Voilà comment 3 jours de vacances dans un cadre magnifique peuvent être gâchés.

Ungdommene ble begeistret

Familie på fem på tur. Gått i fjellet med mange alternativer i nærheten. Koselig, ren hytte med kjøkkenutstyr. Fantastisk utsikt, nærkontakt med hest, geit, sau, lama. God mat. Anbefales på det sterkeste.
