The property is perfectly located to explore the town. The room had a great view of the fjord and it was great to be able to sit out on the balcony. Parking was plentiful. The room was very comfortable although there were no coffee/tea making facilities. Breakfast was a 5min walk but it was great with lots of options available.

I believe my review may be a little off due to what we expect in the U.S.. Breath taking views and relaxing stream that runs by the back door of the cabin. Lots of easy walking around the cabin. Not a lot of aminities in the town to choose from but you are only 30 minutes from Voss and 30 minutes from Vorenfossen.
The negative, The beds were more comparable to cots, probably more typical in European travel. I wouldn't recommend the cabin for more than 4 adults and 2 kids. Its a struggle to sleep 6 adults in this cabin. There is no staff onsite for the cabin, the restaurant checks you in. There were issues with the cabin that need to be addressed. No control of the thermostats so the cabin was extremely warm, had to unplug the heater main control to be able to sleep. Electrical short in a light switch that was tripping the breaker for downstairs outlets and stove fan and light. Emailed the operators as that's the only way to contact them, they are aware so hopefully they fix the issues before the next guests stay.

The cabin was a little small for 6 adults and it was stuffy and way to hot. Beautiful view tho and beautiful town. On the plus side we could cook.

The check-in process was poorly explained in advance. The guesthouse has no reception desk – instead, you need to approach the bartender in the bar downstairs, who kindly helps and hands over the room keys. Upon departure, you’re expected to leave the key in the door of your room, which was a bit unusual and not clearly communicated beforehand.
Aside from that, the stay was pleasant. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Just be aware that you might hear music coming from the bar/restaurant below – luckily, it wasn’t too intrusive and was turned off around 10 PM. The bed was very comfortable, so we still got a good night’s sleep

We signed up for a cabin based on the representative photo and at least one review raving about the new cabin they had. NOT OUR CABIN! Nothing like the picture in their ad. Very old furniture (one small couch, not 2 like in the photo, small table with 2 chairs) and a very old kitchen wall. No dish drain. We brought dinner in and used their dishes. Bathroom sink was not much bigger than for 2 small hands.
Had the website’s pic showed this cabin, we never would have booked it. Oh and if there is a new cabin, it’s the same price as what we paid! We booked 5-6 months in advance and only one price was listed for cabins on their website.
No staff to speak to, either. We arrived about dinner time and the lady in charge of the restaurant was pleasant and gave us a key, and told us where the cabin was. That’s all.
We did get an email from the hotel telling us the combination to a lockbox where we found another key and told us to place our keys there when we left. That was our only contact with anyone. Our reservation was only for one night, thankfully.
