Back again for the 20th or 21st time

I have visited every year since my last review and it is impossible to fault the place. The inn / pension is quiet, but close to the village centre. Solo rooms are small but v comfortable....I am usually a budget traveller so don't need much space. Breakfasts are great. The drinks machine is always on and good for teas, coffee, etc.. The hosts, Gert and Carla, are ultra-helpful. I look forward to visiting again this summer.

Inn de Witte Handt

This is a wonderful B and B / pension on the holiday island of Terschelling, Frisian/Wadden Islands, northern Netherlands.
Breakfasts are brilliant, accommodation is comfortable and the host, Gert Zeevat, is ultra-helpful.
I have stayed here many times and would recommend it to anyone, especially budget and solo travellers.

Great B&B

In de Witte Handt is a small B&B in Midsland, located on the island of Terschelling in the Netherlands. It is a very old captain's house that has been restored. Its side-street location is great, right in the middle of the island, close to bike rentals, lots of restaurants, bars, etc.
The room we stayed in had its own very nice complete bathroom, but other rooms shared a bath. The room was small but adequate and provided lots of light through big windows on the front of the house. The hosts offered a delicious, typically Dutch, breakfast each morning and were very helpful when approached.
I would highly recommend this Pension to anyone.

Oud vertrouwd verblijf

We kwamen eind april een nachtje slapen bij de Witte Handt. Ik ken de vorige eigenaren goed dus was benieuwd of het nog oud en vertrouwd voelde. Het was top! Deze zomer wordt het bestierd door Annelies en wij denken dat de Witte Handt bij haar in goede handen is.
Een pluspunt vonden wij dat het ontbijt geen vleeswaren bevatte en dat de jam en kaas van Terschelling kwamen.

Ideale ligging, sympathieke b&b

Ideale lokatie, basic voorzieningen, prima ontbijt. Wij boekten 2 eenspersoonskamers. Kamer 6 was fijn, op de hoek aan de voorzijde met ramen aan 2 kanten, kamer 14 was stuk kleiner, en deels onder schuin dak (plus raam kon niet dicht of vastgezet worden). Prima bedden, alle kamers met eigen wastafel, gedeeld sanitair. Al met al een handige plek om het eiland te verkennen!
