Clean rooms , welcoming

Nice clean rooms, though noisy.
Point of criticism: it was very light in the room , solar blackout curtains could be a good solution. There were only inbetween curtains and a screen in front of the window, which could roll yourself down or up.
Welcoming was great, very friendly people who work there.
Nice fresh tea and coffee , and lots of breads at breakfast.
Plenty with nice fried egg with or without bacon
Overnight stay and breakfast , a good price.
I had read in other reviews about a steep staircase , I myself found this not so bad.
For people with walking difficulties , more difficult because of the narrow twos and 1 handrail on the side.
There is no elevator available
The location of the hotel is very nice , right in the center of Heythuysen
You can park next to the hotel, not behind it.
There are people who live in a care complex there and talk to you about it
Shops and restaurants within walking distance.

Everything was right!

Surprisingly large room with a passage to the bathroom. Great ambiance. Parking was also convenient behind the hotel. Wonderful beds. Wifi perfect and the shower had a super strong jet.
Everything was correct and worth repeating. Then the price is also great including breakfast. Breakfast was delicious and varied. You were even asked if you wanted a fried egg. In short, no doubt whatsoever about this hotel in the middle of Heythuysen.

Absolutely top Lehel Of rudeness!

I very rarely write reviews, mainly because I travel a lot and spend on average 3 nights a week in hotels. But this experience needs to be noted! Extremely rude and amateur management from the owner who seemed more worried about going to the hairdressers, rather than being polite!
I only wish I could have given it even less stars!!

Perfect location

We just hosted a large group of guests and were able to put most of them up at Het Anker. They were all very pleased with the cleanliness, the service, and the central location of the hotel. The breakfast was quite luxurious by local standards. Since the group had taken all the rooms, the hotel also allowed us to hold an activity in its spacious bar area and helped us make it cozy for our guests. Great support, unpretentious and very friendly. This is the third time we've put family and friends up at Het Anker and everyone has come away all smiles. We'll be using Het Anker again in the future for sure.

Family run hotel. good value for money

On the advice of a friend I stayed at the Hotel last year. The Hotel is clean, breakfast is good and the price is very cheap. When in the area it's a good place to spend the night. The Hotel is centred in the middle of the town with a nice restaurants nearby.
