Location is right in the centre so everything is within walking distance. Bus to/from airport (38 min) close by. Amiable staff. If you want a real Dutch place to stay then this is your best bet.

Lovely stay!

We were there for 3 nights. Super clean and comfortable rooms. Hosts Henk and
Annemarie were great, they supply a perfect map of the area and have everything you'll need. Breakfast was beyond good, everything was fresh, delicious coffees and juices. Really, a perfect spot in beautiful Haarlem.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Malts

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Malts in Haarlem. Henk and Annemarie are most welcoming and provided excellent recommendations on restaurants and sightseeing activities. The hotel itself is charming with comfortable, well appointed rooms. Breakfast was amazing with freshly squeezed orange juice, excellent coffee and a varied selection of breakfast items including local cheeses, meats, flaky croissants (even better than Paris) and more. The hotel is centrally located, walkable to all attractions, yet quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend a visit to Haarlem and a stay at Hotel Malts.

And Haarlem is of course a much nicer destination than Paris, not just because of the tasty croissants!!

It was fantastic.

We would recommend this B&B hotel to everyone. What a great care and especially hospitality. Nice room, good beds, very clean sanitary facilities and a delicious breakfast. The owners Henk and Annemarie make you feel really at home. They're tops.

Welcoming hosts and great location

We could not fault this place, the room was lovely (top floor, stairs only) with a decent bathroom, big comfy bed, good storage and lighting. Even BBC on TV! The room was overlooking the rear of the building and very quiet.
Breakfast was the highlight - homemade yoghurt, fresh baked goods and croissants, chocolate sprinkles (a Dutch culinary must, we're told), fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, lovely coffee and tea, freshly boiled eggs, cheese and meat. What more could you possibly want?
Malts is next door to a fabulous chocolate shop and on a busy street with lovely fashion stores, bakeries, not far from the main square or the other smaller squares where markets are on Fridays/Saturdays (artisan bread is a must). Restaurants and cafes are everywhere - try Oscar's for macaroons - OMG! We were recommended the café on top of the car park called, DeDAKKAS which does freshly cooked snacks, cakes and sandwiches and great veggie options. So good, we went there twice!
