Lovely place to stay

Great hotel with rooms decorated like a small apartment. Fully equipped. You can also prepare food for yourself. Bed is lovely and the shower is also very nice! Breakfast is extensive and fine. Owners welcoming and always up for a nice chat.
Hotel is on the street, but with the windows closed you hardly hear anything of it. My apartment also had air conditioning.
Supermarket a few steps walk away. Number of restaurants nearby. Furthermore, of course lovely walking in the area. From the hotel you can go either way!

Tastefully furnished and very clean apartments

Tastefully furnished apartment, clean, excellent: beds, TV, internet.Very hospitable reception and very friendly host and hostess. We have explored the whole of southern Limburg, Epe and its surroundings are by far the most beautiful landscape in the area.

Huge disappointment, freezing cold rooms and bad service

Friends of ours offered us a voucher as a wedding present, from which we could choose a 1-night b&b. We chose Ons Epen apparthotel for a weekend. The owner is also the one who greeted us at the reception. The word to describe her attitude is the complete lack of hospitality. The only questions she asked was where we came from (Belgium), and after that she asked us what our mother language was - which is not French. She did comment that even thougb her French was not good, it was good enough to realize that my husband and I did not speak French amongst themselves. We found her comment as rude and unwelcoming for us as guests.
We were given a modest room at the ground floor without a view/balcony, even though we saw that the place was not fully booked.
It was freezing cold in the room for the whole night, even though outside there were 0 degrees. Basically there was no heating whatsoever. When we complained the second day in the morning, the owner thanked us for letting her know, and she did not apologize.
We missed the breakfast, but she did not bother to ask us if we would like a coffee. No hospitality whatsoever, we just felt so unwelcome at this place.
Note that there is no landscape to admire around this place and that the few restaurants in the neighborhood close early in the evening (probably around 21.00). Basically this is not an area where one can do their long weekends or any possible holiday.

Our Limburg retreat

We enjoyed a lovely midweek stay here. Epen is a very peaceful laid back place set in the beautiful Limburg countryside. It's the perfect place to escape city life.
Our apartment was clean and spacious with cooking facilities and plenty of outdoor tables and chairs to dine al-fresco, which we did.
We started each day with a hearty breakfast in the lovely breakfast room. We loved the fresh orange from the juicer machine!
The wellness area is beautiful. Loved the ambience with chilled background music and candles. It was the perfect way to relax after our long walks.
Rene is a very welcoming host. He went out of his way to make sure everything was to our liking, giving us tips on where to go walking and what to see and do. Even though his wife was away when we were there we don't imagine we could've had a better time, but we'll have to come back to test that out!

Exzellent Place

Complete service, very nice warm rooms. The SPA is very nice as well. Exzellent Hotel.
We enjoyed every minute in this top Location in a small town.
Maastricht 20 min away is nice for Shopping and something to eat or drink.
