Actively avoid
Simply put it is not worth the rather extortionate price. Even allowing for the jacked up prices that you will pay for a capital city/tourist hotspot this is unacceptable for what you get
Firstly the hotel isn't even that centrally located meaning a substantial walk or taxi or tram to any of the sights.
The hotel is extremely basic and tired and clearly hasn't been renovated or refurbed since at least the 90s. The double room is tiny with very thin walls, no ceiling lights, and a very grimy bathroom. The double bed is that old trick of two single beds pushed together except that they have a frame meaning there is a large gap down the middle. The mattresses and pillow were limp and very uncomfortable. The windows are single pane and didn't fully close, meaning that every sound on the street in the morning is loud. The bathroom door didn't even close properly and the lock didn't work. The toilet seat was so loud you could hear it in the landing of the corridor.
The last time I stayed in Amsterdam I was a student and stayed in a cheap hostel easily one tenth of the price of this place and it was genuinely nicer.
The rubbish on the street at the front door is disgusting as well
Over the last few years, I have had city breaks in Bosnia, Croatia, Rome, Sardinia, Berlin, Vilnius, Tallinn, Casablanca and am easily pleased (see my reviews) and this is the first place I would say "actively avoid"

Cons: old building with bad isolation for noise (although relatively calm outside), no AC - It got really warm some days. Another bad thing is that you have to leave the card in the reception when you leave the hotel. It gave a bit of a hostel vibe to be honest. Not the best interior as well but considering the price, it was still good.
