Aussie in Kathmandu

This is a great hostel .. the rooms are clean and spacious; it is quite affordable; has a top location; but most important of all, the staff are absolutely first class, have heaps of local knowledge, plus are very helpful and friendly.
I very much enjoyed my two stays there.

Favourite Spot in Kathmandu

I came to Kathmandu after a very long flight, completely exhausted and still a little stressed, because I hadn't booked a place to stay at yet. While walking out of the airport, some guy told me he had a good Hostel to stay at, and because I was way too tired to look for anything else, I just took it, half expecting to get scammed.
But no, I'm so glad now I found this place, because it's just so comfortable, has a fair price and is placed well in the center of Kathmandu.
But most importantly, the people working there were so incredibly nice, after a few days they weren't just some people that worked there, to me they became friends. In the evening we used to chill on the roof with a beautiful view of nighttime Kathmandu and just talk for hours. They were so welcoming to me and helped me out with things they wouldn't have to.
I know exactly where I'm gonna stay when my journey brings me to Kathmandu again: 8848 Hostel!

Best experience

I stayed in 8848 hostel after getting touch from airport. Hostel is clean , staff are friendly,location is in centre. I really recommend people who want to stay in 8848 hostel. They also have travel agency in downstairs . They are very professionals.

I love 8848 hostel because there food was delicious and all services are good room was very neat and clean and thanks for bishal brother for good service he is wounderful boy and i always come 8848 hostel and i need bishal also soo come in 8848 hostel for entertment and good services especially thank for bishal brother
