A Calm, safe and Welcoming Base in Maputo
We stayed at VIP Executive Suites Maputo Hotel twice during our three-week holiday in Mozambique, each time for seven days, and found it to be a მშვიდ and pleasant base. The location is excellent—right across from a small park and close to the lively FEIMA market, with its lovely food stalls, local art, and handicrafts.
The staff are truly kind, welcoming, and very helpful. We were given a room on the 10th floor with a wonderful view of the ocean on one side and the FEIMA market on the other, which made our stay even more special.
Despite its modest star rating, the hotel offers spacious, clean, and well-kept two-room suites with simple amenities and a safe deposit box. If small issues arise—like towels needing replacement—they are handled quickly and with a smile when you ask.
We also appreciated the flexibility and free service, such as being able to leave a suitcase there between our stays. Overall, the level of care and friendliness made a big difference.
We would happily return and give this hotel our warmest recommendations.

The place on a whole was nice the staff here were friendly and polite and very helpful especially the housekeepers. There was a few issues in regards to the room such as the AC TVS’s safe shower head leaking. The tv issue got resolved after three days being with no signal the AC issues well maintenance came but did nothing to resolve the issues there was a leak in the bedroom with regards to the AC but I had to fix that leak myself mentioned the leak in the bathroom regarding shower head and was told that he would come back the following day but that following day didn’t happen at all so I stopped complaining. Internet was also another issue going down quite frequently but that was managed very well once I made them aware of it. But for a value for money hotel I can suggest it but just be sure to know you may have issues or this was a one off issue with my room these are some views from the room

Place was good, only thing was the couch full of dust. But overall it was alright close to the beach, mall and easy access to other places.

PICTURES: Accurate, though lobby has changed a bit
INTERNET SPEED: 10-20 Mbps, some floors are better than others
WORKING SPACE: Dining room table or using laptop from chaise
LOCATION: Nice central location, 5-10m from beach or 5-10m to downtown
VIEW FROM MY ROOM: Nice panoramic view of the city
SAFETY: Very safe
PARKING: Across from hotel there is a free and secure parking lot with 24hr manned security.
BONUS: Someone will typically be available to wash your car if desired (for a fee of course)
NOISE: Nothing notable
LENGTH OF STAY: 3-4 weeks across a few different rooms
STAFF: Very responsive and accommodating.
ADDITIONAL: I'm allergic to dust, and something in a couple rooms triggered my allergies pretty severely. I'm guessing the sofa/pillows/bug screen. After a deep clean my allergies subsided.
