Stay 9 days as a couple

We stayed 9 nights in this small Riad of 12 rooms, with an intimate atmosphere.
A special mention to the cleanliness of the place and the premium service: transfer to and from the airport, excursions, presentation to guides, advice of visits, extra-copious breakfasts and homemade, possibility of dinner on site.
The location, without being central, is within market distance of all major tourist places: majorelle gardens (25min), souks (15min), Jema Al Fna Square (15min), Palis Bahia (20min). We crisscrossed the Medina without using the taxi once.
I highly recommend this Riad for its quality/price ratio.

DISAPPOINTING

DISAPPOINTING. THEY DECEIVE. I still don't understand how it can have such a good rating in the reviews; precisely for that reason we chose it. I don't know where to start... The day of our arrival at Riad Salman, our 4th day in Marrakech, we requested the taxi service to the airport for the next day; what a surprise when they tell us that the price is €24 and that we have to pay them directly. Context: we had already taken two private taxis, one from the airport to the first Riad we stayed in, located 400m from Riad Salman, a private service managed by the Riad itself, which came to pick us up at the airport with the consequent wait for us and charged us €16. An €8 difference for the same service is clearly abusive; the other private service hired was also through the hotel where we stayed, we paid €35 for a distance of 42km for 4 people, compared to the €24 they asked us for at Riad Salman for a distance of 8km...). Second difference, in these two cases we paid the driver directly. Third: They do not accept credit cards, only cash... draw your own conclusions. We protested the price of the taxi service and they told us they would review it, and so they did; finally, we paid €20. The shower water was cold in the room I stayed in; we were a group of 4 people, in the other room there was hot water, but in mine, located on the opposite side, there was not. If you are going to answer me that I didn't say anything, indeed I didn't mention it, since, from the moment I arrived and they tried to rip me off, I was no longer comfortable. Little care in the service: they leave a small bottle of water per guest in the room as a welcome, well, in our case it was not like that, we did not have water in either of the two rooms. When we arrived at night, we asked if they could give us the bottles of water that they hadn't put out for us, and kindly, mind you, always with a smile and very friendly, they gave them to us. Well, when we went to check out, they told us we had to pay for them. After explaining the situation, which was uncomfortable due to the attitude of the reception worker, we did not pay for them. Recognizing the good: cleanliness, Mohamed's kindness, and a good breakfast. After that, VERY BAD value for money; there were 4 of us, we booked 2 rooms with breakfast, we paid €210 for 1 night since we booked with cancellation, what I mean is, it is by no means an accommodation that corresponds to a nightly price of €100, in every sense, not in quality, not in service, and even less so in honesty. Regarding the location, it is true that you are a 15-20 minute walk from the main places of interest, but like so many others, there are plenty of Riads to choose from in that area. Honestly, I recommend that, with the amount of options there are, DO NOT STAY HERE. From the first moment I felt uncomfortable; when you go to an accommodation you don't expect them to try to deceive you, you expect to feel comfortable and enjoy it; unfortunately, that was not our case. If we chose this Riad, it was because of the good rating it had, and just as I started this review, I end it: I don't understand it. We have stayed in other Riads in Marrakech and we had never felt this way.

We had a great stay. The riad and team are excellent.

We loved our stay here, it was excellent. The staff is very professional and friendly. Nothing was too much to ask. Our room was beautiful too, with rose petals on the bed. The shower pressure was really good too. I recommend this Riad without hesitation. It’s small, nice and cosy and feels like home. Don’t hesitate to stay there.

Excellent value for money

Suitcases with wheels essential because the taxi cannot travel in the alleys. Riad well placed to discover the medina on foot. The staff is friendly and friendly. The breakfast was hearty and the rooftop the little extra! We also cooled off in the mini pool. Nothing wrong: nice experience!

Cozy, makes you feel at home

This cosy guest house is located in the pretty Dar El Bacha district, a 15-minute walk from Jamaa El Fna Square. Very kind staff that makes you immediately feel at home and that makes itself available to guests. Great typical Moroccan breakfast
