Lovely staff, great room great view!

We stayed for 3 nights at this riad in their top room with private terrace. The place is a little difficult to find and down many little alley ways, which it felt a little uneasy going down, however once there, the staff are so welcoming and friendly! :) Brahim the manager could not have been more accommodating and provided us so many tips on places to go, how to barter etc.
The room was very lovely, well decorated and very Moroccan in style. We had beautiful views of the snowy Atlas Mountains from our terrace too! :) There was no hot water for a shower, but the service and atmosphere made that fine to live with! If you want a quiet, cosy, simple retreat to lay your head after a busy day in Marrakech then this is a brilliant riad. :) thanks Brahim and staff!

Very homely and relaxing

I would definitely recommend Riad Villa Mouassine as it is true Morocco style place but also very homely and relaxing away from the craziness and buzz from Marrakech. It is right in the middle of the Souks/markets and ten minutes walk from the square. The car is not accessible so if its you first time to Marrakech, make sure you order the taxi through the hotel to collect you at the airport as it is very hard to find your the riad by yourself. There is no access for cars or buses to the Riad.

Not 10 minutes from the souk

We rented this place last Christmas through Airbnb for 10 days at 123 Euros per night. It was NOT good value for money. WAY over-priced for starters.
It was advertised as a 10-15 minute walk to the souk, which it is not. At the time of rental we could not find the exact location of the riad on a map, and if we had known that it was so far from the center, we would not have rented it....The address was provided but a location map was not. It is in fact on the far northern edge of the old city in a not-very-nice neighborhood and is a good 20 to 25 minute walk to the souk ONCE YOU KNOW HOW TO GET THEIR.
The guy who works for the owner and met us (you would never find it otherwise) and provided firewood was nice enough, but he over-charged us for the wood, and one gets the feeling he doesn't really like foreigners. The French woman who owns the place doesn't want to deal with the rental aspect or people, so you have to depend on her guy.
The house is cold in the winter with no real heating and was not very well maintained frankly, with many of the electrical outlets detached/not functioning, and had a general run-down aspect. I must say that the photos here on Tripadvisor look better, so maybe they spruced it up. It IS big and the advertised prices here are certainly much better then the 123 EUROS per night we paid. I personally felt a bit ripped off; if I had paid 50-60 per night instead of 123, it would have been pretty good value.

Very kind and nice place

Room was cozy and nice. Price was cheap but service and the condition of the room was more than that. Plus it's close to Medina. The room has air conditioner and on the top of the building there is nice terrace.
We really enjoyed the stay there. The host was so much kind and helpful.(We called him "Angel". He was kind that much. Thanks again, Abdul!!! :) ) Without him, we could have had lots of problems and couldn't be satisfied with our Morocco trip this much.
I would say it was the best hotel I've every stayed!!!!!!!!!
In Marrakech, it's quite hard for the newcomers to get the sense of direction. However, thanks to the host in the Riad, we could get familiar to the city and the roads. We arrived very late at the Riad after midnight and wanted to buy the bus ticket for the next morning to Essaouira. Although it was very late, the host guided us to the place where we could buy the bus ticket. The place to buy bus tickets was closed so we couldn't get the ticket but he showed around the medina and made us get familiar with the street so that we could get the sense of the direction in Marrakech. And the morning after day, he made a phone call to the bus company so that we could buy the ticket.
Also, breakfast was well prepared and delicious. We had to leave early the Riad heading to Essaouira like 6 or 7am, but he served the breakfast for us.
Only small problem was the drain for the shower didn't go very well, but I'm pretty sure they will fix or already fixed. Except that We were satisfied with everything and everything was perfect :)
If I have another chance to visit Marrakech, I will definitely stay there.

Pleasant stay but originally a bit mislead

This is a cute ilttle riad right in the center of the souk in the old part of Marrakesh. It was very enjoyable to be in the old city walls, walking through the market. However, unfamiliar with the city, we were not aware of what this really meant in terms of travel. We elected to have the riad arrange for someone to pick us up from the airport, as they offered. However, we were unaware that you cannot bring cars into the souk. This means you have to travel on foot for quite a distance. This was fine by us, since we traveled light, but also involved being lead by a barrowman, whom we did not willing hire and then expected a tip (as is true often in Morocco) after he showed us the riad. This would've been fine, had we been told ahead of time, but we were not prepared while arriving in the middle of the night. Otherwise, the staff was very accommodating and we enjoyed our stay.
