Good quality/price ratio
Positive points
First of all, the price is very attractive for a riad located in such a central location. The riad is about a 5-minute walk from Jemaa El-Fna Square, with taxis easily accessible, which is very convenient for getting around. It is also located right in the heart of the internal souk of the medina, allowing for a complete immersion in the Moroccan atmosphere.
The welcome was warm and professional from the moment we arrived. We also want to highlight the kindness and availability of the housekeeper, who is very close to the guests, attentive, and always ready to help, which really makes a difference.
The breakfast was very good, plentiful, and pleasant, and the terrace of the riad is a real plus: calm, relaxing, and perfect for unwinding after a day in the medina.
Negative points (ground floor room)
Unfortunately, the ground floor room we occupied needs urgent renovation. The bathroom is extremely small (about 2 m²), without ventilation, and has visible mold. The door is damaged because the water from the shower is directly splashed onto it, and it even happens that water from the bathroom flows into the room, which is very unpleasant.
In the room, there is a strong smell of dampness, probably related to the lack of ventilation. The hot water system is also complicated: it requires constant adjustments, which can be difficult, especially for a child. Finally, we found the bed and pillows very hard, which affected the quality of our sleep.
Conclusion
The Riad Black Door is an establishment with an excellent location, a very good value for money, and above all, a friendly and welcoming team. However, the ground floor room suffers from significant issues (dampness, bathroom, comfort) that deserve serious renovation.
We recommend this riad for its hospitality and location, but advise requesting another room, ideally on the upper floor.

Relatively convenient, cheap, but not so nice place to stay. Pictures are deceiving.
The room was small, dirty, with very small beds, with only 1 very small shelf next to the bed to share between 2 beds, no place for luggage. The room listed a toilet and shower, but it forgot mentioning that they were shared with other rooms. They only gave us 1 small old towel each. The shared bathroom had no ventilation, so better be the first one or you will have to smell other people's odors. Especially since the toilet did not flush properly. After using the toilet, I had to fill a bucket and dump it in the bowl to empty it from my digested food. The shower did not drain properly leaving your feet in a deep pool of water. Breakfast was served at the top floor, in a dirty terrace with plastic chairs. The kitchen was right inside. The cook always showed up 15-20 minutes after the food was supposed to be served. The kitchen was dirty with dirty dish left all over the countertop and the sink. There were towels and sheets hung on the railing in the common area. The lobby, which is supposed to be a common area with sofas, was not particularly nice and the owner was constantly hanging out on the sofa dressed like a bum, watching tv. One day out of the 2 I was in this riad, they had run out of coffee for breakfast (we were the first to arrive on the terrace, so they just didn't buy it the day before). Some of the plugs were precariously attached to the wall.
