To avoid formula buffet for 950 DEM without drinks
Everything without passion but just cold procedures
Food of very low quality
Fish with big stench and lamb with a taste as already gone
The only thing that has a taste was the icecream
Actually I took three portions to justify the price of 950 DEM
The restaurant manager feed back was just “ very sorry” but asked me the full price promising to improve next time
I hope traveller don’t accept any more buffet formula to avoid such a robbery
I pass all the food to a hungry cat that doesn’t complain

Very nice place but disappointing experience
La Mamounia is without a doubt an exceptional place due to its architecture, its history, and its setting. But unfortunately, the prestige of the place is not enough to compensate for certain disappointments regarding the service and the customer experience.
Yesterday, I ordered a tomato burrata. The plate arrived with tomatoes as hard as concrete, totally unworthy of an establishment of this caliber. These are simple details, yet they speak volumes about the attention paid to the plate.
Another surprise: I simply asked to have a shirt steamed. 120 Moroccan dirhams for a simple steaming… At this price level, one obviously expects an impeccable service and a true sense of hospitality.
The most regrettable thing, however, remains the attitude of some of the staff. Apart from the concierge service, which deserves a special mention—notably Rachid and Hicham, who were absolutely excellent, professional, and attentive—as well as the housekeeping staff, I found the welcome surprisingly cold. A hello, a smile, a minimum of attention sometimes seem to become optional… except when a tip comes into play.
That is precisely what is a shame in an establishment like La Mamounia: one should not have to give a tip to obtain the attention and courtesy that should naturally be included in the service.
La Mamounia has an extraordinary setting and an international reputation. But precisely, the higher the standing, the higher the expectations for service should be as well.
I was hoping for an exceptional experience. I mostly had the feeling that the prestige was more present than a true sense of hospitality.
A very beautiful place, certainly. But at this price point and level of reputation, it is legitimate to expect much, much better.
