An absolute gem!

We had an amazing stay at Dar Zelda! Jamaal and his team made us feel very welcome and were so helpful. The room exceeded our expectations, the bed was so comfortable and the shower was fab!
Breakfast each morning was lovely - we booked direct with the Riad so this was included. We mostly had dinner in-house as well which was perfect every time, made by their brilliant chef.
I honestly can’t say enough good things about our stay. Jamaal, Adjil and the rest of the team absolutely made our holiday - it was our first time in Morocco and they guided us with patience and kindness. The location was amazing, very close to everything we wanted to see but so peaceful, tranquil and calm the minute you step inside the Riad.
I would highly recommend Dar Zelda as the most perfect place to retreat to, with lovely food and a super-helpful, kind team on hand to point you in the right direction to ensure you have a fabulous time.

In the heart of the Medina, kindness, relaxation and a lot of professionalism.

I spent three days, with my husband and two other couples of friends, in this Riyadh in the Medina of Marrakech. On the evening of our arrival , although very late, we were prepared an exquisite Moroccan dinner (chicken lemon 10 and praise!)! The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated in Moroccan style. Breakfast is great and hearty: milk, coffee, orange juice, yogurt, eggs, donut, bread, jam, Nutella and fresh fruit. But what most pleasantly surprised us was the availability and thoughtfulness of the manager of the Riyadh and his collaborator who immediately granted our every request., From calling us Taxi or tuk tuk for every move and then let us find them for the return to the Riyadh, to buying tickets online to visit the Majorelle gardens, or even to book rooftop for the aperitif with breathtaking views!!! I absolutely recommend this Riyadh to those who want to spend a holiday in Marrakech!!!!

Wonderful riad and team

I visited Dar Zelda with my daughter and couldn't recommend it highly enough. Jamaal and his team were so attentive and helpful and really made a difference to our visit. They were incredibly helpful in recommending restaurants and places to visit, as well as booking hammans and taxis when we needed them. Thank you so much to all the team. The room was exactly what we needed - fantastic shower and really comfortable beds in a spacious room. We had dinner our first night which was delicious and breakfasts were fresh and lovely too. Location was great being near the Madrasa and the Souks - I have nothing but positive things to say about Dar Zelda!

Oasis Of Calm

For a first time riad stay in the Medina, Dar Zelda was perfect .
It is an oasis of calm, a short (safe) walk from the souks and all the experiences the Medina has to offer, with several great restaurants very close by. Beautiful clean rooms, a fabulous roof terrace and great food at breakfast and in the evenings make Dar Zelda a special place to stay.
However, both with the riad and wider Medina, it is the people that made our trip most memorable. Without exception every single member of the team at Dar Zelda go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and after 6 very happy days we were very sad to leave… so much so we have already rebooked.
Thanks to Jamal and all at Dar Zelda for a wonderful stay.

Tips for getting around

My sister and I had a wonderful time at Dar Zelda. Jamal and Brendan advised us on best routes to walk at night and helped book transport and guides.
The riad is tucked away just a 5 min walk from the start of the souks. Very atmospheric but means cars cannot pick up or drop off here which is something to factor in if you want to book tours as they cannot pick up from here. It’s not a problem though as staff can book you a tuk tuk.a man with a cart will meet you so you don’t have to carry cases to and from the airport.
We loved wandering around spotting colour and something to amaze at at every corner and felt very safe (2 women in 50s). I had bought a SIM though so whenever we had had enough we could use street maps to find us the quickest route out of there and gave us the confidence to not worry about wandering wherever we fancied.
