Lovely view and hospitality

We stayed with Hassan for two nights. It was a wonderful stay. A bit from the main road. You could reach it by foot, but it takes 20-30 min. We had a car, which was more convenient. The last part of the road is a bit more ‘off road’, but doable. Just take it slow.
The Dar has a beautiful view. Hassan is very hospitable and is very willing to take you for a hike. His cooking skills are also recommended to try out.
The room was spacious. Warm water (took some time though) which was welcome after a hike.
Thanks Hassan!

We suffered the cold!

The room was really very nice with a nice view too bad that on our arrival in the late evening there were 10 degrees (measured with garmin clock) and the heating did not work..... it started to heat up a little only after 1.30 our arrival. As if that wasn’t enough where breakfast and dinner were served it was incredibly always 10 degrees, with adjoining doors open. To resolve this situation we kindly requested to light the fire in the fireplace present since the heating did not exist. Our request was not met with enthusiasm and therefore the fire was not lit.

Unmarried Couples Not Permitted to Stay

I booked a room at this hotel online, however my partner and I were refused accommodation because we did not have a marriage certificate. It was nighttime and the roads were bad so we offered to resolve this situation by paying for and staying in two separate rooms, however the owner refused this, despite there clearly being vacant rooms in the property (and rooms available on Booking.com, etc). As a result of this refusal, we were left in an unfamiliar village late at night with nowhere to sleep, forced to navigate narrow, winding roads in complete darkness and without streetlights.
Furthermore, throughout the entire interaction, owner was rude, disrespectful, and made judgemental comments about us travelling together while unmarried.
While I fully acknowledge the importance of understanding and respecting local laws and customs when travelling, the Moroccan Minister of Justice has publicly stated that requiring couples to produce a marriage certificate is not law, but in fact an illegal practice that hotels should not enforce.
If the owner chooses to apply his own moral beliefs, then that is his personal choice, but he should have communicated this policy to us upon our booking, instead of placing us in an uncomfortable, stressful and unsafe situation.

Really kind and welcoming people, amazing views.

Had an amazing time at Dar Aymane. Hassan was really kind and generous, and organised a really nice walk in the mountains for our family. The food was delicious. The room was really nice and spacious and the views were great. Would definitely recommend.

Best stay in Imlil!

We had a lovely time staying here. We planned to stay for one night but we extended our nights day by day and stayed 4 nights at the end. Hassan and his colleagues are very kind and helpful people. They explain you everything, cook and make sure that you will have a great stay. We had great conversations and I really appreciate the effort they put into it. The rooms are beautiful with the best views possible. I can highly recommend staying here and would always come back! Thank you so much again!
