I highlight the attention received

First of all to highlight Ibrahim the guy at the reception, not only for the kindness but for how helpful he was with us without any convenience or anything in return. We were cancelled because of the blackout in Spain and we had nowhere to sleep we contacted him and immediately solved the problem, he also found accommodation for two acquaintances who also had nowhere to stay and brought them to another Riyadh about 20 min because this was full.
The quality/price accommodation is great (in this area you can find everything), the room was large, nice and with private bathroom Ibrahim serves one by one the freshly made breakfast and serves you coffee or tea with all care and detail.
Also some afternoons in the dining room plays the guitar and it is a pass the calm that gives you so calm.

My refuge, My Little Palace

I was in this hotel in August, a heat wave to die for, but before talking about this hotel I will summarize my arrival in Fes (when I arrived in Fes my reservation was in another hotel, I booked a hotel with a private bathroom, air conditioning. .., when I arrived at that hotel in the afternoon I didn't feel very comfortable but it was what there was, when I returned at night everything got worse, dirt, cockroaches, bathroom in the hallway, etc. At 00:00 p.m. I took the suitcase, alone and in a labyrinthine city that I didn't know and I left that hotel)
I looked for a hotel on booking and I went to see it, I was having an anxiety attack and when I crossed the door of Dar Bab Guissa and saw the patio I said I'm calm now, I'm comfortable, the guy who runs the Othmane hotel helped me a lot, He made sure that I cleaned well and showed me my room...beautiful, super large and super comfortable double bed, air conditioning, super nice sand dune effect bathroom, very large room with beautiful views of the patio, very silent, very quiet, and the breakfast was spectacular but the best thing was the human warmth and treatment of Othmane. Do not hesitate to make a reservation at this hotel, by the way the medina has thousands of streets and it is very very very difficult to find your way around, Dar Bab Guissase is very easy to reach, from the door of the medina that has the same name (Bab Guissa) you enter through the door , turn left, right and left, there is no loss
Enjoy it!!!!

Good value for the stay

What we liked about Dar Bab Guissa
- the way the place looks like
- the value for the money
- the welcoming tea and cookies
- the breakfast
- the friendliness of the personnel
You have to take into consideration that this place:
- has a problem with the plumbing and the shower drain and sink drain might clog
- accepts no card payment

Lovely Stay

Very nice stay at this homely riad. Traditional riad with nice room. We had heating in the room but bathroom was quite cool at the time we stayed. We took the dinner option twice during our 3 night stay and both times it was lovely, there is not much around in the way of restaurants so this was a convenient option for us. Breakfast was a traditional Moroccan spread that was a good start to the day. Host and staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi worked well. Only one small hiccup on our last morning, we had to leave at 9am to catch bus and breakfast usually started at 8am however things were running slightly late and we rushed breakfast down just before 9. We did a half day tour through the riad 250mad and the tour provided was excellent with all major attractions covered by a good english speaking guide. We visited a few shops and places where things were made but there was absolutely no pressure to buy. Overall a recommended place to stay
