Immersion in the medina of Fez.

We just spent an unforgettable week at Riad Adarissa in the heart of the medina of Fez. The warm welcome from the Haddou-Hanane couple made us feel right at home. We appreciated the meals, the tranquility, the comfort, and the proximity to the Blue Gate, Bab Boujloud, for orientation.
Noureddine organized two excursions for us that delighted us: Meknes-Volubilis and Ifrane-Azrou.
The arrival of Jean-Claude, the owner, at the end of our stay was an opportunity to congratulate him on the superb restoration of this riad; the first floor, in particular, is magnificent. The terrace allows for fresh air and to admire the roofs of Fez, an incredible city.

I would definitely stay here again. The team at Riad Adarissa - Haddou and Ana in particular - were so welcoming and warm. I am so appreciative of their service and generosity over my say.
The location of the riad is great and near landmarks - like the Blue Gate - so getting lost/navigation back to the riad is easy. Stepping out onto the main street turning right are local markets with mountains of fruit, home goods, local food supplies. It's great. Turning left are more local craftspeople stores with leather and textiles.l etc on the way to the famous tanneries.
At the riad, breakfast is free and you can pay for a Moroccan dinner cooked in the kitchen by Ana. However outside on the main street are numerous really good restaurants you can enjoy as well. In particular Sodfa which is so homely to the right. And to the left I had Pastilla the Fes speciality and one of the others.
The terrace in the roof has a great view of the rooftops of Fes.
The Riad is beautiful. Housekeeping is great and the road is very clean. Yet the pictures of the riad make the Riad look a little bit more luxurious than it is. I would absolutely stay here again. But a few tweaks - like toiletries provided, double curtains on the room I was in rather than just a sheer one. Just a few cosmetic tweaks would make it perfect.

Wonderful

Everything is absolutely perfect in this riad.
There is obviously the location: ideal, a small perpendicular to the main street, quiet, and a few steps from the bab Boujloud.
There is also the riad itself: quite small, very cozy, very clean, with a magnificent roof terrace overlooking the medina, facing the tombs of the merinids. The rooms are all different, very nice, bedding at the top!!
And then, and above all, there is the welcome.... Nourredine is hyper responsive in exchanges, considers and responds to all requests quickly. Thank you bcp Nourredine
But the pleasure of staying at Riad Adarissa lies above all in meeting Haddou and his wife Hanane. They are, like each other, so warm! They like to talk and it shows! they pamper you and spoil you.
I came 3 nights, accompanied by my sister and our (elderly) parents. Haddou and Hanane did everything to make us feel "at home", they greatly contributed to the success of our trip.
In summary: score of 10 for Fez, 10 for riad, and at least 100 for haddou and Hanane (and its cuisine)! We will come back, it is obvious / See you soon!

Good accommodation in Fez

The Riad Adarissa is in an excellent location, very close to the Blue Gate. The staff are very friendly and resolve any issues quickly. The accommodation is well maintained and the rooms are heated. The value for money is very good. Breakfast is correct, although somewhat limited in variety. Overall, it is a highly recommended option to visit Fez.
