A simple dar but with hidden delights

This is a simple, unpretentious, very well-priced dar. The rooms are adequate rather amazing, but the dar has other delights to offer. The breakfast was among the best we encountered in Morocco, and the rooftop terrace is an absolute delight, offering great views over the edge of the old medina and out into the surrounding country. Great sunrises, and good for bird-watching if you're into that. The proprietor is very friendly and helpful and rustled up a packed breakfast for us on the last day when we had to leave early with almost no notice at all. The dar's location on the edge of Fez makes it easy to walk outside the walls and catch a petit-taxi to the train or bus station. The only drawback was the early-morning call to prayer, which is very loud here!

Excellent value for money.

Beautiful riad in the Medina of Fes, located a bit on the outskirts, making it a very quiet and easy-to-find place, near the Bab Ziat gate. The property is not perfect; it has its flaws, but the value for money is exceptional. It has few rooms; we found cleanliness and comfort, the room was large and equipped with everything, breakfast was truly good, and the staff was super kind and welcoming. For the price we paid, it was a real bargain, and I would return even tomorrow. Inside, there is also a restaurant that is highly recommended, but I will review it separately. We recommend this property to those looking for a quiet and authentic place; do not expect luxury, but you will find the smiles and joy of the young people who manage this beautiful property.

2 nights in Fes el Bali

An ultra warm welcome from Ishmael. With his little family they work hard to pamper us. They speak very good French, cook very well, give very good advice. The riad, is very beautiful, typical, well located, quiet. We have a very good memory.

Super cozy address super friendly staff

Super cozy Riad, superb cozy terrace with cushions and electrical outlets with access to the roof with magnificent views of the city, the spot is also perfect for listening to the adhan, an unforgettable experience! The staff is adorable and available, we are pampered by Ishmael who helped us, advised us, and gave the opportunity to do great activities like excursions to Chefchaouen, Azrou and Meknes. The kitchen is also super good, we recommend!
